First I would like to clarify one thing. Some people seem to be ill at ease with my selection of topics or with my style of writing. Mobile Phones are more popular and more in use in Pakistan than any other gadget, and the simple reason of their ubiquity is their ease of use, and their lower prices. Where they have proved a great boon in communication, they have also opened new vistas for the appeasement of unfulfilled and strictly checked sexual desires of our society. Not only the boys, but also the girls let their sexual frustration out through the Mobile Phones. Mobile Phones have become a simple way to have sex by day or night dreaming. But every unnatural thing has its limitations and at the end it only adds up to the mounting frustration and sexual agony.
People have become so maniac and crazy about the mobile phone sex. Every girl with a mobile phone must have received such calls in which they are invited to have some sexual, nude or dirty conversation. The silly question as why don’t girl just hang up the phone and shouldn’t be talking sense to the other guy is ridiculous. Boys don’t leave them that easily. They give miss bells every after five minutes, which creates embarrassment for the girls in front of family, friends and the colleagues, and that often ends up in ending their facility of mobile phones.
The callers who want online sex through mobile phones are really desperate people. Ok, you tell me, how a girl who has obtained a mobile phone with utmost difficulties could get rid of such people, who are bent on having on online sex with her. But my guess is that instead of finding any answer, we would have something else in response in ample quantity. Tells you something about our society, if you are not way too smug or self-righteous.

First of all, you know the number. Call the CPLC (Citizen-Police Liason Committee) and inform them of the problem. Usually they’re very good at resolving these issues, specially in Karachi.
If that doesn’t help then based on the six-degree rule, it shouldn’t be that hard to find somebody to who knows somebody in places like mobile phone companies, or NADRA or such. Find out the names and addresses and ask somebody to go beat the shit of the other party. End of story

This is a sad but hard reality unfortunately in today’s world people take relationships only to be a physical thing and this is a very desperate example of that. I’ll have to say this and many (girls) may disagree but there are girls at the other end of the line entertaining such callers for this to flourish. Sadly in our country technology is adapted and abused never used. Mobile phone companies can be instructed by the subscriber to block such callers and if they don’t legal action can be taken against them. I live in Karachi and used to get a call from a GIRL from Rawalpindi i just asked my cousin who works for my mobile phone company to get her address and stuff, the moment i told her Her info she got cold feet I guess people need to get out more and interact more to curb their social desires so these things would not be needed. First, girls should keep their personal numbers away from public, They should never ask for easy load, they should install one small software available on Nokia site..who can block incoming from unknown numbers ( which are not in your contact list…I can give link if some body requires), They should never write their numbers on Business cards or on Company list or on any paper for clients/public/students etc, Girls should never buy SIM on their own name and should never go for buying SIM themselves..they should send father, husbands or brothers for it, I’m male but still I not mentions my mobile number on Business card or in any email etc. Yes gives to those who are reliable and not disturbs me often. (Precaution is better than Cure)
In addition to this, there are few Government and Telecom companies obligations also. They should never sell SIMs on fake names. If database of mobile numbers will be 100% correct…these harassment cases will decrease to 15% only. Its a big disappointment that our Police stations are not online. Otherwise they can get online access through PTA for actions against culprits who disturbs ladies through calls etc. I have seen that in Middle east, no body dares to even call on any girl number because on one single complaint from lady can take man behind bars for 3 months. Police take immediate action and catches culprit after confirming incoming calls on said number. We lacks all this in Pakistan.
anyway better luck for those who are effecting from obnoxious calls but hard luck for those who are fully involved in sex talks but then cries for mercy.

there are solution to prevent un-wanted calls,
1. as far as i know some sets of Sony Erricson do provide facility to prevent a caller/caller group to approach your cell number.
2. Call PTA to stop such callers
3. Don’t go to mobile phone outlets to recharge your account.
4. Ask someone from the family to call him/her an ask politly to stop doing it.
5. Some softwares also support to prevent unwanted callers.
6. for girls only attend the call from the number they know it, unwanted caller will not call after every five minutes if gets no response. One may also ask a male in the house to attend the call from unknown number.
7. Last but not least only use cell phone if it is really a requirement, not for showing others that you have cell phone.

I tell you how few of my female colleagues were used to get rid of obnoxious calls (working In telecom company). Regardless of fact that we have full control of blocking and checking location ID of obnoxious caller/calls, few of our lady colleagues were having this problem one in a blue moon… They were getting rid of these kind of calls in following ways.
- No attending phone at all…once its confirmed that man is disturbing her.
- Keeping phone on silence/beep once/vibration 24 hrs.
- Attending phone but putting it aside. It deducts callers balance but he is unable to hear her. So after few calls..man stops calling because money is also important.
- Using incoming calls blocking software. This software even helps to personalize tunes for your close ones and keeping your phone silent for unknown calls (numbers that are not saved in your phone).
- Giving phone to brothers/hubbies as obnoxious call comes to hear and respond accordingly.
- Sending complaint to their company but it not works ( I know that companies not take care of it if customer is Prepaid user).
- Not keeping very easy digits numbers. Otherwise you will get call from those who want to buy this number and this way your number will go in public that girl holds this number.
- keep 2 numbers (one for office use and other for personal use in evening).
and many more but above are best ways to keep away dogs

You asked in your article about what is a girl to do with all these calls coming. The answer isn’t a difficult answer. It’s simple. All she has to do is turn it off or keep it on silent. When she needs to use it then she turn it on. It’s too bad Pakistan cell phone providers don’t offer the service of blocking calls or receiving calls only from the people on your allow list.
Well this is what happens when you have a society that is reasonably illeterate and having no ambitions in life. The interaction of male and female in our society is taboo but physical needs are a reality and that (though not physically) is somewhat being fulfilled. I would not say that the users are not the only ones to be blamed because the blame is also shared by the regularatory authoraties, the type of ads being released by the cell phone companies are also subliminal methods of promoting phone sex, flirting and wasting time. Call rates at almost no charge after midnight till early morning hours, showing young girls and boys using cell phones in the ads, this is bound to happen.
No one will ever take either notice of any of these things nor would anyone do anything about it, so I say let the idots of this country suffer as they have been suffering for the last 61 years.
