Michael Jackson Dead :: So What for Us ???
By Rohail Butt • Jun 27th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 16 CommentsWell, why our T.V channels are weeping and mourning when only .5 percent of the Pakistani population ever heard of any song (if you call it a song) by Michael Jackson, and why in the hell should we mourn about him so passionately when we have so many dead bodies of our own lying around us?
Pop Music or whatever the hell up, we don’t even seriously take our own backyard clowns, who are screwing music from every chink, why should we give a flying heck to the bizzare black n white singer from the land, who so relishly make many of our people dead through Drones and through its policies on daily basis?

BY THE WAY RESPECT Michael Jackson-King Of Pop
Butt saab,
First of all let me offer the disclaimer that I have never been a great admirer of Michael Jackson’s music or his antics. Now then, Butt saab, your colorful exasperation notwithstanding you have to admit Michael Jackson was inargubaly the most famous person on this planet. A name that was instantly recognizable in any part of the world for atleast the last 30 years. His earlier music, my own subjective differences apart, is iconic and I am sure many people would agree with me that his music was what we grew up listening to or even the first semblance of popular music in Pakistan. Butt saab, dont dismiss “pop music” as frivolty. It attaches itself with a cultural condition that is accepted beyond boundaries and is foolishly ignored in our part of the world. The legacy of Michael Jackson was firmly entrecnhed in Pakistan that might explain the brief popularity of local acts like Tariq Jackson, the iconic Disco chaur sketch form 50/50 and the ever streetside and public venue of Monkey trainers (madari) who would instruct to mimic “Michael Jasson”. Just on these three accounts I can safely say considerably more than 5% of the Pakistani populace has heard of his music and lot more who havnt surely know his name, a lot of grandmothers and grandfathers included I assure you. So I would really like to know where you get your facts and figures from Butt saab.
And please dont compare one piece of news with the other. Yes Pakistan is going through a dark period but things are not bad that we cordone ourselves from the rest of the world and rest of the history to simply wail and lament on our circumstances. A lot of people have perished in the past coupleof months and the causes have been actively and aggressively discussed and dissected. Michael Jackson’s demise is big news but will blow over in the next day or two. Our Talibani misfortune will persist for a while. So havea heart Butt saab. Your type of news willbe making headlines shortly.
Michael Jackson was a Successful figure on the World Face and get the status on the basis of talent.
So, Butt sb, you are looking very stupid after commenting.

This article is too ridiculous to actually even discuss, its not any ones fault for your ignorance coupled with arrogance but you, dear author.
Dr RazaHaider””””””””””””””’………. You look like Daroga (gatekeeper) of Hell. Unless you were in hell, DO NOT ACT AS GOD,,,THINK OF YOUR DEEDS??
All this time I had a rather benign and even wise impression of Dr Raza Haider. I never read the comments just glanced through ‘em. I guess it was the Dr prefix that led me in the wrong direction. The doctor’s comments disappoint me with myself and puts very close to the ranks he so colorfully announces.

Jacko was an icon and a heart throb for many millions. The man knew his audience and many in Muslim world were also his fans. This is beautiful Naat sung by him (link #8). Muslim TV Sky channel 813 keep on playing it very often.
The man has a rare send off when thousands are found shedding tears on his departure from this world.
Jannah (Paradise) is reserved as an ultimate reward for the people who have spent their lives or were used as tools to bring aboput betterment for the people and have done good to build a better world. our somewhat misconception of mere carrying a Muslim name may not be the guarantee to reap a good reward—-like jannah.
Our state of ignorance which is prevalent in Pakistan in abundance; some times hinders us to rightly perceive the things and see them in right prespective.
There was also a news that Michele Jackson also converted to Islam

@ rohail…
U said only 5% pplz knw MJ … U sad xxxx yes only 5% knws him but uknw cuz 95% of our pakiz are uneducated… Da pplz in pak who r educated dey knw an usually listen to him … No doubt i m paki living in dubai .. But love his song dance and althoug he was a good human being …
Sorry to break it up for you guys, but this Hamd is not sung by Michael Jackson. The singer does a convincing impression but bear in mind that two generations grew up idolising Jackson and it is not uncommon that he inspired a school of imitators, some of them really good who emulated his dance and singing style. Like if it is indeed Jackson, his Arabic is flawless for a fifty year old American who just converted to Islam. The conversion to Islam, at this moment in time is simply a conjecture. Rumours of his conversion to Islam in Urdu press has been bobbing about since the late 80s and indeed one of his brother Jeramiah is a Muslim but lets not jump the gun here.
Absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary article.
