Matter of When and Not If
By Ali Yar Khan • Jun 9th, 2008 • Category: Politics • 3 Comments •Though the declared purpose of President Musharraf’s meeting with the few chosen group of journalists was to have a light chitchat on the national issues, the hidden objective was to let the people know that Pervez Musharraf was still there, and he could adopt any way to erode the country’s newly formed government.
Just few days before the impending Long March of the lawyers, and the budget session the termination of Musharraf’s self-imposed abstinence upon the media interaction is very meaningful. With United States’s mounting pressure upon the newly formed government to take the previous measures of PML-Q regime, and also the grave economic situation in the country, and also the rifts between the PDA partners, Pervez Musharraf has given assurance to his desperate toadies that he is still there kicking.
Zardari who is right now receiving red carpet reception in the Kingdom of Oil, KSA and begging for oil and economic assistance has also adopted a stern tone against Musharraf, and has once again hinted at impeaching the retired general through parliament. Now in the presence of bounty like NRO, this is an interesting statement, though it has hit the nail on the head.
The true crux of the matter is that now Musharraf knows that he has left with not many options. He has to go. He has to go sooner rather than latter, and that is fixes. Its just the matter of time that he is made to quit. One thing is clear that he won’t go voluntarily, and he has to be dragged out from the presidency.

Present scenario clearly indicates that people of Pakistan have no status in system of governance.Zaradri ’s sudden rise on pakistan ’s politics over the dead body of Benazir clealry indicate the hidden anti state forces in our system that can come out unexpectedly from anywhere,anytime to control the state affairs.Yesterday’s absconder or declared sick man in many international courts are now running the state affairs and the popular characters like Atizaz, javaid hasmi,Imran who never left their country in trouble time and always stood on front line with nation are still struggling for justice system in so called Islamic Republic of Pakistan.Musharaf has become symbol of worst managemnt system in our country too that inspite of humilition from all national forums, a head of army or state couldnt undemine his right place and still forcing the nation that he is the best choice for us. If such a system exist here then we need “Azab-e Ellahi”for ending the evils from the system.
