Mathew Rosenberg is a US Spy ????

Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has strongly condemned a news story published in a English newspaper of Pakistan which accused US newspaper Wall Street Journal’s correspondent Mathew Rosenberg of being a spy of United States. In a statement the CPJ called it reckless, baseless and unsubstantiated story which has gravely endangered the safety of Mathew Rosenberg . CPJ is now fearing for the life of Rosenberg, and is urging the newspaper to print an immediate and prominent retraction to ensure that it is widely understood that the piece was without foundation.
Mr. Robert Thomson, WSJ’s Managing Editor has said, in his letter to Shireen Mazari …’let me set the record straight: Mathew is an experienced foreign correspondent who has worked for many years covering the region , including Pakistan. In that capacity, he has pushed no other agenda than seeking the truth and has had no other aim than to bring the world ’s attention news and analysis of what is happening in your very important country at a critical time.
Let’s see what response Dr. Mazari dishes out.

You should read THE NEWS as of date today and they have given a article headline ‘ shoddy journalism’ In it clearly explains that he is not working for CIA or BlackWater. This is just a sine how worse things can get when it comes to selling media. They will rite anything and everything even about their collegues inc ase to sell their stories. Soon you will see somehow they will apologize Mathew and will turn him into a public figure to follow up the story as this story is catching a lot of attention and been seliing around.
Dr Mazari is to Pakistan as Ann Coulter is to USA. Ann Coulter is a racist rightwing pro-war anti-Muslim Republican lady columnist while Dr Mazari is a rightwing anti-west tribal feudal landlady now working for Imran Khan and The Nation’s regressive Islamist agenda.

This is highly irresponsible, and we should NOT take this lightly.
Have we already forgotten what such unsubstantiated theories of being a “Jewish Mossad Spy who lives in India” did to Daniel Pearl?
His wife Marianna Pearl is herself on record blaming one similar piece written ky Kamran Khan to be the reason Daniel Pearl was beheaded. She referred to it as the “Death Sentence” - Daniel was mercilessly killed days after that article was published, the fact of him being a Jew featuring on the video his killers shot.
It’s high time Pakistani media comes clean on this. WSJ should simply sue such media outlets to the brink of bankruptcy. Either prove your allegations, or be prepared to pay HEAVY damages.
