Marriot Hotel, Islamabad Versus Taj Hotel, Mumbai

Luxury hotels where westerners stay have become a popular target – assuring deeper fear and global publicity. Hotels are now a choice terrorist target. That’s how terrorists struck at the Marriot in Islamabad in September, the heavily guarded Serena Hotel in Kabul in January, and now at Taj Hotel, Oberoi Trident Hotel in Mumbai.
Terrorists who struck at the Marriot Hotel Islamabad wrecked havoc in a very meticulously planned attack and their prime target was Westerners and to bomb them out of the country. Same has happened in India. When the foreigners and the luxury hotels are attacked, that affects the economy directly. Foreigners run away out of the country never to come back, and foreign investment and assets start getting out of the country.
This is the high time that India and Pakistan see through the mutual hatred and come to the terms and identify their mutual enemy. Sanity must prevail to counter the insane enemy.

There is no comparison between attack on Pakistani Marriot and Indian taj mahal.
In Pakistan this attack was conducted by one and two untrained men and as usual it was linked with tribal areas.Local military product RDX was used in this attack and how it reached in the hands of militance is still unsloved mystery for public.The so called terrorist breached the high secure areas and instead of attacking on PM house that was at that time saturated with high profile figures involved in war on terror, they selected the gate of marriot hotel only for killing only unimportant persons of our society.In my language as all VIPS were saved and common were targeted.Here govt machinery was completely failed in pre and after anti terrorist activities .
In India so far seen the group attacked there,they are highly organised, equipped with modern weapons and a high level terrorist plan with best timings is being conducted here.It is some kind of replica of 911 with longer duration to attract the international coverage against Islamic militancy.I really appreciate the high rank officers of Indian law enforcing agencies who had come forward and lead the squads in this anti terrorist combat. and then scarificed their life in the line of duty for securing the honour of their country.Till that moment India had lost 4 of its chiefs in this action.Indian forces and services are looking in full swings to counter this attack .
That is the major difference between Pakistan and India,For last 5 and six years do we see any daring acts of anti terrorism from our top management.They mostly prefer to increase their personal security by different ways and after each attack more public money are spent on securing our VIPs. After marriot bombing the stupid rehman malik had only one sentence come out from his ugly mouth that thanks God all VIPs are protected .No mr rehman VIPs are protected as no one targeted them so far.In all combat mission going on in northern borders or in swat valley did we hear any kind of high rank sacrifice here.All. soldiers. some lieutant , few majors and hardly one colonial had become victim of this long war .
In Pakistan only Army is used every where. In India, their Police is even well equipped and able to crush such attacks. This is the difference between Democratic and Dictator country. We are producing only dictators to rule us but India is trying to catch world’s growth and technology.
Just see, In pakistan every day people are dying but no body cares in the world. There attack just started and whole US and Europe started crying and condemning.
It means, Muslim life is the cheapest in the world. No body cares about it…. I can not blame US and Europe for it. It is our own actions and hypocrisy that brung us at this stage.

Did I miss something??? I thought india is the ENEMY. Their involvement in Afghanistan and the tribal area is quite clear as to what they want and believe me it’s not to “identify their mutual enemy”. Wake up people the problems that we have are quite home grown that are now being exploited by the ENEMY(read india afghans USA israel). And the type of leadership we have is incapable of handling it or may i say they may even be complicit.

With due respect then you missed the last 60 years of pak india relationship. Even before thinking of such ideas please at least see what is happening is Kashmir. It means then by the logic of “mutual enemy” kashmiri fighters are from now on our enemies as well. Well we have already labeled them terrorist so the job is almost done then!!!
Also with due respect. Not really. Who is talking about Kashmiris or their interest here? Not you or me! It is only coming from the direction of those who are selling Kashmiris’ cause by associating it with their screwed up approach, such attacks win only more anti Kashmir or for that matter any cause. We have tried to solve this issue by (like you pointed out) 60 years long conflict at the cost of welfare of our people, including the Kashmiris, in my view it is time that we give a more humane way of solving this issue.
I fully (200%) agree with Aftab Alam. India & Pakistan must fight this menace of TERRORISM together just as two brothers staying in a house fights a common enemy who has entered the house. It is really great to find similar views from acorss the borders.
Asad Aftab, i completely agree with you. Don’t mind what Aftab says, he is just a loser. Anyone who has different opinion than his is mentally retarded. Pity him for that. Asad you absolutely right, you know who our enemies are and I’m with you.
Aftab, we are all here to present our opinions. You have no right to use such language for anyone and let me be frank, you can’t convince thats why you abuse people to hide your weakness. And you are trying to keep your image as a so-called moderate muslim and Pakistani, but let me tell you that if you don’t know your enemies (or pretend to act innocent), and thats why you are a hypocrite. Why the hell don’t you understand that Pakistan alone cannot bring peace in this region, it will only happen if india sincerely tries. And as you might know that the indian government doesnt want that otherwise it would never have blamed Pakistan without any proof. If you were a true Pakistani, you would also have the same anger against india as we all do but im not sorry to say at all that you are a hypocrite. You are the same as an uneducated, illeterate person who cannot distinguish between right and wrong.
