Mardan Car Bomb Blast
By Salman Mugsi • Apr 25th, 2008 • Category: Politics • 3 Comments •Just when the leader of Pakistani Taliban, Baitullah Mehsud, has ordered his fighters to immediately cease their activities in the tribal region as well as the NWFP, 4 people have been killed in a car bomb blast in Mardan city.
The whole Mardan city heard the explosion was rocked by it. More than 50 people are injured and many of them are critical. Most of them are policemen. The Sub Inspector Furrukh Saeed, a hotel owner and a child are among the deceased. The property damage is also huge.
The local talibans of Mardan have accepted the responsibility and have said that they have taken revenge of one of their commanders who was killed in an encounter. What in the hell these talibans think they are doing. This is a state with proper law and constitution, and nobody is allowed to take the writ of the government in hand. That commander who was killed in the encounter was challenging the writ of the government and it was the duty of security officials to stop him doing so.
Security forces must not let these criminals go without justice. They should do a massive crackdown on the dens of these terrorists and apprehend them with iron hands. The restraint of government should not become it’s weakness.

Salman Bhai, you are talking about a society where rule of law prevails and people, all people, are inculcated with respect for fellow citizens. We have, unfortunately, regressed to a more primitive society of pehaps middle ages when there were hardly defined states and writs of the states. You know what I mean.
I wouldn’t comment on who is right and who wrong but m dead sure that Talibans actually doesn’t know what they have done. One of the Policemen being killed in the blast is from my village. I couldn’t let my telephonic conversation continued and have to disconnect call when my father was telling me what has happened with the family. The whole family was dependent on that guy. The whole family is killed by killing that one guy.
May Allah guide us to come out of this situation where poor are killed from both sides. The leaders of both sides are beneficiaries and their soldier looser.
Very sad indeed. See, how blind cruellty can be. A “zalim” is heartless and doesn’t give a damn who is being destroyed. No feelings, no respect for innocent human life. Shame.
