Mad Dogs, Mad People, Blade Boys, AIDS Girls

According to newspaper reports, in the Khor town and its nearby villages people got really terrified when frantic announcements were made on loud speakers from some mosques that some mad people, who have become mad after getting bitten by mad dogs, are killing people like hell, and people should remain at home and take care of themselves and their families.

This news spread like wildfire in the area and villages of villages became deserted in a matter of couple of hours. People notified their relatives and friends in the nearby Attock city, where also many people got terrified and reported to Attock police, which contacted the related Khor police station. Khor station showed their ignorance of such happening. After much hassle and confusing hours, it was proved that it was a hoax and nothing had happened.

Similar incident happened last year in one colony of Rawalpindi where the rumor spread that a certain ‘blade group’ was activated which was cutting the girls on their bare arms and faces and those girls then suffered from AIDS. It was also proved hoax but put the residents of area in sheer terror for days.

Have you got any such rumor or hoax to share?
