Not that millitary rulers too are disposed off using this very stick of the incoming CHief. lol. Everybody makes mistakes and he too made some. But I give him full credit for his vision. Compare the economic and social developments of his period with the preceding 52 years and you will get the answer. Politically naive, he had to depend on the available lot. He dragged Pakistan out of economic disaster, handled the geopolitical situation amicably, established democracy in its true spirit by empowering the masses and women, promoted a culture of religious moderation, developed friendly relations with neighbours and improved the image of Pakistan in the world community More democratic than any of the present political leadership he has all the qualities of a great leader.
