The Pakistani Spectator

An episode spread over six months spans had and end today, with the surrender of many hundred males and females coming out of Lal Majid.

Who the author of this serial that is unknown to every one. When such a situation comes every body knows that unknown writer in case of Pakistan.

The climax of this drama had a tragic end with the loss of life of many people, including on ranger person, a passerby, a business man and some students of Lal Majid.

But this had a heppy end for those who received Rs 5000 each. Now government will announce compensation for the deceased ones also. But the writer of this drama will earn a lot, in shape of fame, remunerations, awards, extension in service, etc etc.

Also be awarded for caring for human rights by not attacking Lal Masjid for more than six months, safe-guarding known interests, playing a double game, getting promotion in good books.

Except from award of Rs 5000 to each surrenderer this drama has a tragic end altogether for the nation, country, future, politics, democracy and rule of law.

As now this is almost all over, now we should return to the case of CJP and the last rulling given by the Supreme Court in which government’s position has became so miserable that they now have to decide that any dignatory post has to sacrifice in the reference agains CJP. Would CJP will be re-instated, would he have to pack-up, what would be the procedures of settlement? God knows better.

Decision of CJP Case may not have a tragic end for the most of the parties but surely for Prime Minister and for heads of Intelligence againcies.
