KhudaKayLiya : A GEO Movie

By The Pakistani Spectator • Jul 13th, 2007 • Category: Uncategorized • 6 Comments •

Now a days, GEO is trying to be everything. Most recently it has taken the responsibility to revive the Pakistani cinema industry. They are about to release (perhaps on 20th July, if I remember correctly) the movie in theaters. IMAN ALI

They say in the pre-release marketing that it would be best movie of Shan and a great inception by Iman Ali and blah blah. They also say that the sound track and lyrics are beyond everything.

What I have seen in clips and what I have listened to its tracks, its seems to be a bad copy of any third rate Indian Movie. Really honest. It didnt impressed me to any extent.

Are you impressed by its clips and audio track? Please share.

  1. I have seen the movie in Karachi and its rubbish.

  2. Iman Ali is just a model and looks like an Auntie in the movie (though the picture at your site makes her look smashing)

  3. Its a nice movie, in which shoaib mansoor has tried to present the truth in a very touching manner. May be its not that much garishly romantic, but it affects in some kind way.

  4. I very much doubt that whether this movie would revive the Pakistani cinema at all.

  5. i”vent watched the movie yet but ‘ve listened to its soundtracks n ‘ve watched the clips .. i think it can play an important role in revival of pakistani cinema .. just the fact that everyone is talkin about this movie and wants to watch it once proves the point and also the album of the movie is making some sales i think its a revival of some sort. Also there are no maula jutts and jeera blades in this movie(for a change} and to be honest the music is not that bad either. Our problem i guess is that we expect a bit too much.. I’ll go to the cinema with a hope that the movie is different than the typical Pakistani movies. I think we should appreciate and support this effort by Shoaib Mansoor and shouldnot expect a “God Father” from him.

  6. This movie is about the difficult situation, Muslim find themselves after 9/11.

    Its all about drifts.
