Key of War on Terror

Bajaur Agency is the smallest agency of the tribal region of Pakistan. It is about 45 miles (72 km) long by 20 miles (32 km) broad. It’s population is also very sparse and the terrain is hilly and mainly not inhabitant. This agency is the focus of the operation carried out by the security forces of Pakistan for the last some months and still after the extensive operation, the militancy is not under control yet.

Though the security forces control the agency’s capital Khar, the areas which borders with the Kunar province of Afghanistan are where the war is going on. The Mamund, Takrani and Utman Khel tribes are the people who live in this agency. These tribes are now at the side of government, but even then the militants are engaging the Pakistani security forces.

The reason for this unending insurgency is the support of every kind these militants are enjoying from across the border. More and more militants are pouring in from the Afghanistan into the Bajaur Agency just under the nose of US and NATO forces and they fight with the Pakistani forces.

The million dollar question to be asked from the American leaders and media is why America is not sealing the border between Bajaur and Kunar province and why they are not sending their drones in Bajaur like they are North Waziristan? This is the key of this war on terror.
