Kashif Abbassi Doing Media Trial of Politicians

Anchorperson of ARYONE TV channel, Kashif Abbassi seems to be into yellow journalism for quite some time now. With the departure of Musharraf and restoration of judiciary, the shops of many anchorpersons have become lusterless, and some of them have resorted to thriller drama in their talk shows.
In such talk shows, one guest is always Sheikh Rashid Ahmad whose got so lesser number of votes from his constituency that his guranttee was confiscated and he doesn’t roam in public now in Rawalpindi. Sheikh Rashid Tulli boasts aloud smugly and Kashif Abbassi encite him to speak louder. Kashif also invites some far fetched bureaucrat who flaunts some unreadable papers and then three of them start acting self-righteously and sling mud on the politicians.
The simple thing is that if Kashif, Sheikh Rashid and there bureaucratic friends have so powerful a proof, then why don’t they go to the free courts of Iftikhar Chaudhry and get justice and why they are resorting to the media trial of the politicians? Why Kashif has never talked about any general or any of his media buddy or at against any judge? And how dare he so pompously projects a person like Sheikh Rashid Ahmed who was so insulting rejected by people and who became lota and who was the companion of former president Musharraf, whom Kashif degrades so much?
These talkshows are merely an infotainment aimed at getting more viewership by slinging mud on politicians and then packup for the next show.

Are you suggesting that our politicians are innocent and certain TV anchors are trying to malign their repute…..FYI, action speak louder than words….thanks to Zardari and his cronies, today the whole nation is witnessing the dance of deceit.
@ Aamir I believe in the notion of innocent until proven guilty! Thus the media trail of the elected representatives must stop. There are more pressing issues for now; we need to focus our energies on the war against militancy rather than indulging in mud slugging
We have to Take action and must do MEDIA trial of all Politicians , Workers, even reporters, every big gun of PAKISTAN! must!

Media cites all that’s spicy and that can earn a viewer ship - and hence, the sole criterion is sensationalism, even when that what’s cited may be the farthest from truth and of the most disruptive nature.
