Karzai’s Escape Once Again

By Sameer Shaharyar • May 2nd, 2008 • Category: Politics, Worth A Second Look • (2,837 views) • One Response

In the mighty presence of more than 40,000 armed-to-teeth US and NATO forces, Hamid Karzai, the Afghan President has been attacked four times since he came to power six years ago.

The most recent attack was in Kabul and in this attempt on Karzai’s life during a military parade on last Sunday, Karzai survived unharmed, but three people, including a lawmaker, were killed. Three assailants also died.

In their incompetency and idiotness, the Afghan authorities have said that this attack was planned in the tribal region of Pakistan. Saeed Ansari, a spokesman for the Afghan intelligence service, has said that the Talibans who carried out this attack had links with Al-Qaeda which is present in the North Waziristan. He got this revelation just after hour of the attack. How efficient, this idiot Saeed Ansari is.

This is basically yet another excuse hatched up by the US to attack the FATA area.
