For the new government of Pakistan People’s Party, it’s easy to talk and implement the national reconciliation on the issues, which directly deals with the vested interests of its co-chairman and his buddies or on the issues which deals with the government formation.

Infamous National Reconciliation Ordinance and the waiving of BA Degree clause was done to establish national reconciliation with Asif Ali Zardari. In Balochistan, reconciliation was done to strengthen the PPP government. In NWFP (or was it Pakhtoonkhwa?), the reconciliation was done to join ANP in government, and to contribute in pleasing United States in its war on terror.  In Karachi, same is the case and its all about rule and power.

But where come the national issues with lasting effects and which directly affect the survival of the rising population, they just kill the issue. The construction of Kalabagh dam is not like NRO of Zardari, its the matter of national interest and it is very crucial, and who is PPP to decide it alone?

Federal Minister for Water and Power, Raja Pervez Ashraf has abolished the Kalabagh Dam project. He has done it because he thinks that it is controversial. NRO of Zardari is also controversial, so it should also be abolished. Silly and inactive people like Raja Pervez Ashraf have drowned this country through status quo, and his claim to eliminate the load shedding within a year is way too preposterous.

Let’s see when they abolish other dams like Bhasha dam, Skardu dam, Neelum Jhelum Nandi Pur, Chicho Ki Mallya and Faisalabad Project.
