At least 7 people have died and more than 40 have injured in a Bomb Blast attack in a Imam Bargah in Peshawar. The injured have been moved to Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar. Protesters are rioting outside the hospital. The blast is being termed as a suicide attack.

The blast occured in a Majlis where Shi’ite Muslims were present. According to initial reports the victims also include women and children. More than 100 worshippers were present inside the imambargah, when a man pushed the security guard at the gate, opened fire, and then blew himself up.

“There were screams and limbs strewn around the gate. The electricity went out, bodies are inside and many people were injured,”  A witness said according to AFP.

Security has been beefed up in all the cities. These next three days of Moharram 8th, 9th and 10th are very very sensitive and nation is really looking at these days with extreme apprehension and fear. We have to maintain unity in our rows. Enemy now wants to exploit the sectarian differences in the country.
