Optimistically speaking, fair and free elections provide an oppurtunity for renewed efforts to put the country back on the track of progress, and gain respect and regard in the cluster of nations.

It’s true that Pakistanis don’t like to become a sordid hired-men for Americans or any other power who hire them in times of trouble and then leave them when their interests are met with success or failure for that matter.

Ghosts of Afghan war, which we fought on the cue of Americans are not only very much alive today, they still stalk us in every avenue of our daily lives, and the current tide of terrorism is an offshoot of that when the chickens are coming back home to roost, and not only to roost but also being fully manipulated and exploited by our enemies with much cunning and williness.

The poor people of Pakistan are well informed about the cause of their precarious existence  and they are worried about their survival. They are hearing strange stories about their future, and some people are talking about the end of beginning.

That’s not correct at all. Our journey which started in 1947 is still under the way, and we are InshAllah here to stay, and we as  a nation prove our mettle in the upcoming elections, which are now just round the corner.
