Its Hopeless to Hope from Gilani
By Ali Yar Khan • Nov 7th, 2009 • Category: Politics • One ResponseAlmost during and after blunder of Zardari camp of this dysfunctional regime, people start hoping that Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani is an elected premier and he is not like Zardari and his coterie of unelected people, and he has to go back to his constituency and other crap.
But it turns out that all hopes are wrong. From Judges restoration to Kerry Lugar Bill and from NRO to charter of democracy, premier always become spectator and when the government thoroughly get humiliated and backtrack on the issue, only then premier comes forward and eat back the claims, and make an empty speech about democracy and its beauty.
Then we hear that once again President starts mulling over producing new rabbit from his hat. Premier once again goes back to his sleep. We all then wait for some new blunder out of Presidency. Atta vicious cycle.

You know where the vicious cycle actually is? It’s in our people fighting and fighting for democracy and power, and when getting it, misusing it, dragging down the very same president and government that they elected into place, and then complaining when dictators take over the country.
Let me make this very clear to you. In no way, in no manner, can you accuse Zardari’s government of being unelected. And if you cannot see how much he has done for Pakistan’s international image, our foreign ties, our economy, and how much he has sacrificed for the survival of Pakistan, you are blinded by your own bias and stupidity.
