Is it in the manifesto? Part-4 for Pakistan Election 2008
By Farid Masood • Feb 16th, 2008 • Category: Pakistan Vote'08, Politics • No Responses •The only thing, which may be termed as above the law in any country is ‘Basic Human Rights’. If any law cannot provide it or have the weakness that any one can supercede it with its own rules then such law should be thrown into the sea and a new one should be implemented.
The right to choose, right to fight for rights, right to be safe, right to be independent under one flag, right to get facilitated on equal terms (NO VIPs, VVIPs), right to posses etc
Our law has such weaknesses, will the up-coming government re-instate the ‘Basic Human Rights’ of the people of Pakistan. For this if a major overhaul of law is required will that do it?
