Could you tell us what made you decide to blog, and what was the inspiration behind it?

Ans. Blogging is a great medium to share personal thoughts and memories. My online friend Mohib (http://mohib.urdutech.com) encouraged me to use this medium not only as an “online diary” but also to share flash and graphics related stuff with other Pakistanis in Urdu Language.

Why do you blog in Urdu, and why not in English?

Frankly speaking, I am not very comfortable with English. Secondly, there are already many flash related blogs in English. That’s why I do blog in Urdu for all those Urdu Lovers who want to read and see typical computer related topics in their own language.

What do you think sets Your blog apart from other blogs?

Ans. As I said, there are already many flash or graphics related blogs in English but I haven’t seen any Urdu Blog which offers Flash Stuff in Urdu language. That’s why I think my blog is different from others.

Do you feel that you continue to grow in your writing the longer you write? Why is that important to you?

Ans. Feedback from readers is important for me. It encourages me to continue and improve my writing.

What do you do in order to keep up your communication with other bloggers?

Ans. Not very often, but I do read other blogs and post my comments their. I have already made online friendship with some Urdu Bloggers. We often discuss our thoughts with each other through messengers or through online forums like http://www.urduweb.org/mehfil or http://forums.urdutech.com.

If you could choose one characteristic you have that brought you success in life, what would it be?

Ans. Patience

What was the happiest and gloomiest moment of your life?

Ans. My happiest moment so far was in 1997 when I was in a tour of Northern Areas of Pakistan. I saw amazing and beautiful places like Hunza, Gilgit, Lake of Saif-ul-Malook, Kaghan and Khunjarab (China Border). The gloomiest moment was in 2001 when my grandfather passed away.

Urdu Blogs have got huge potential, when do you think they will really take on the online horizon in Pakistan?

Ans. Writing blog in Urdu was not an easy job in the past. But now anyone who knows how to type Urdu in his or her computer can do blog in Urdu with the help of forums like UrduTech.com. http://forums.urdutech.com. So, with the passage of time, we will see many blogs in Urdu and they will really take on the online horizon in Pakistan. Inshallah!

If you could pick a travel destination, anywhere in the world, with no worries about how it’s paid for - what would your top 3 choices be?

Ans.

  1. Saudi Arabia
  2. London
  3. Turkey.

.

What is your favorite book and why?

Ans. My favorite book is “Shahab Nama” which is an autobiography of Qudrat Ullah Shahab. I like it because of its simplicity, humour, effectiveness and moral values which Shahab Sahab taught us throughout this wonderful book.

What is your favorite meal, dress, and sport?

Ans. My favorite meal is Biryani. I like to wear jeans and T-shirts and my favorite sport is Cricket.

What’s the first thing you notice about a person (whether you know them or not)?

Ans. Way of talking.

Whose Future is more bright in Pakistan; English blogs or Urdu Blogs?

Ans. I think language is not important. It is blogging which is important. I see a bright future for both English and Urdu Blogs in Pakistan.

How Pakistani bloggers can benefit from blogs financially?

Ans. I don’t know because I have never done blog or website to get financially benefits.

Do you think Pakistani bloggers tend to remain somewhat self-centered and really don’t go out of their shells? Is it the oriental style of blogging, or they are still unsure about it?

Ans. That’s right! I think they remain somewhat self-centered because Pakistani Nation in generally is a self-centered Nation. Let me say that they don’t have enough tolerance to bear the criticism from others. We should accept our mistakes humbly and we should rectify them rather than to get angry.

Is it true that who has a successful blog has an awful lot of time on their hands?

Ans. Every success has an awful lot of time behind it and so is a successful blog. Without investing some time in thinking, preparing and composing the post, it is useless to do blog.

What do you think where the Pakistani blogosphere is right now?

Ans. I think that Pakistani blogsphere is going towards betterment but we have to work hard and think positively.
