By The Pakistani Spectator • Sep 14th, 2008 • Category: Interviews • No Responses

My name is Ron Nasty, I’m just an average joe unhappy with the status quo.

Would you please tell us something about you and your site?
I’m jest yer average workin’ feller what gots a computer, an illustration program and a internet access. I blogs over to the American Insurgency, where I puts up funny pictures and such, generally mocking the corpocratic political system what wants to take over the world so they can copyright yer DNA and force you to pay them for the right to exist.

Do you feel that you continue to grow in your writing the longer you write? Why is that important to you?

My pictures might get better, but I done all the writing I wanted to in high school. This is as good as it’s a gonna get. I guess it’s important to me because I like to make people laugh.

I’m wondering what some of your memorable experiences are with blogging?

When I learnt how to link up to a story.

What do you do in order to keep up your communication with other bloggers?

I call my buddy and blogging partner Lew all the time to discuss stuff.

What do you think is the most exciting or most innovative use of technology in politics right now?

I’m wary of the use of technology in politics. This will never be used fer the general good, but to help the ones what owns the patents and such.

Do you think that these new technologies are effective in making people more responsive?

I think new technologies are in fact splittin’ people apart and makin them more dependant on the technology and less communicative with each other.

What do you think sets Your site apart from others?

At the American Insurgency, we don’t take nothin’ too serious. We stick it as much to the Democrats as we do the Republicans, it’s just that Republicans takin’ themselves too seriously makes ‘em easier targets.

If you could choose one characteristic you have that brought you success in life, what would it be?

I am the most incredibly handsome man on the planet.

What was the happiest and gloomiest moment of your life?
The gloomiest day of my life was back in 2000, when the Republicans stoled the election and put that retard in the White House. Any day I have a cold beer and a hot woman is a happy day.

If you could pick a travel destination, anywhere in the world, with no worries about how it’s paid for - what would your top 3 choices be?

I’d like to go to Walt Disney World. I think goin’ to the moon would be pretty cool too. After that, maybe Hollywood, wheres I could maybe be discovered and become a TV star!

What is your favorite book and why?

Not really big on books, I’m more of a magazine-type guy. Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue’s my favorite one of them.

What’s the first thing you notice about a person (whether you know them or not)?

If it’s a chick, I always look at her rack, and if it’s a dude, I always try to figure out how to kick his ass, in case the need arises.

Is there anyone from your past that once told you you couldn’t write?

People tell me that all the time! I don’t care what they think, I just like to try to make peoples laugh.

How bloggers can benefit from blogs financially?

That is a good question. I know I’d like to be able to give up the grinder and just blog all day if’n I could figure out how to.

Is it true that who has a successful blog has an awful lot of time on their hands?

Maybe that’s why I ain’t so successful. Because I work so dang much.

What role can bloggers of the world play to make this world more friendlier and less hostile?

I know a lot of bloggers like to blog about their pets and such, and the world would probably be a happier place if all we did was read about each others pets, but nothing burns my beans more than someone trying to be all cutesy-wutesy with pictures of their cat. It’s a dumb animal people!!!!!

Who are your top five favourite bloggers?
Well, I know Lew thinks I’d probably name him, but not really. My first wife Lily had a good blog at Lose The Noose last year, but now she done went over to that there Blue Republic place. I likes Tom Harper over to Who Hijacked Our Country, he’s a good ‘un. I like that Kvatch feller over to Ragebot. There’s a whole list of bloggers in my links section that I think are pretty powerful when push comes to shove.

Is there one observation or column or post that has gotten the most powerful reaction from people?

I never gets the reaction I want, mostly ’cause I’m preachin’ to the choir. I had one with Hillary Clinton and Ann Coulter what made people laugh.

What is your perception about Pakistan and its people?

I haven’t really formed any perceptions nor notions ’bout the Pakistani people. They get very little play in the US corporate media. I can’ts even remember if Pakistan is still our friend, or enemy anymore. But I harbor no ill will to no one.

Have you ever become stunned by the uniqueness of any blogger?

Well, there was <a href=”http://greatcarrieoakey.blogspot.com/”Carrie Oakey</a, I could never really tell if’n it was a put on or not.

What is the most striking difference between a developed country and a developing country?

That a developed country like the US could have worse health care than most developing countries.

What is the future of blogging?

There’s something called live blogging that sounds pretty cool. Wish I could type that fast.

You have also got a blogging life, how has it directly affected both your personal and professional life?

It’s harder to have intelligent conversations with people in real life, if’n only because I assume they are as well informed as all my blogging compadres.

What are your future plans?

gettin’ a new scope fer my deer rifle next week. I wanna do more funnier posts, what go all viral and such.

Any Message you want to give to the readers of The Pakistani Spectator?
