I am Hameedullah Khan, A Computer Science Graduate Student and a developer and system administrator by profession, living in Karachi, Pakistan. My Blog URL: http://hameedkhan.wordpress.com.

Could you tell us what made you decide to blog, and what was the inspiration behind it?

I was inspired by the idea that by writing your feeling or thoughts on the blog you share it with millions of people out there who read it and either give you suggestions by leaving comments or either they take your word and follow it. So, I thought that would be a very perfect way to share my voice about my country, to share my feelings and thoughts about anything. So I decided to start writing, I am no way a regular blogger, I write occassionally about things that come into my mind and I am either very disturb by them or either very excited about them, it could about myself, about country about other people.

What do you think sets Your blog apart from other blogs?

I share everything here, whether its an advice, thought, feeling, news. People write about problems, but I try to write about their solutions.

If you could choose one characteristic you have that brought you success in life, what would it be?

I am very patriotic and optimistic, so what ever I do, I feel I am doing for my country, and it really works for me.

What was the happiest and gloomiest moment of your life?

Whenever I see someone else doing something good for the country, and when my application was accepted for Google Summer of Code.

Urdu Blogs have got huge potential, when do you think they will really take on the online horizon in Pakistan?

When it will be easy for people to install Urdu fonts, and when we will have some urdu blog portal :).

If you could pick a travel destination, anywhere in the world, with no worries about how it’s paid for - what would your top 3 choices be?

1. Switzerland
2. Dubai
3. Egypt

What is your favorite book and why?

I mostly read technical books, but once a friend of mine gave me Al-Chemist by Paul Coelho, I liked it.

What is your favorite meal, dress, and sport?

All spicy desi food.
Shalwar Kameez, Jeans and T-Shirt
Football and cricket.

What’s the first thing you notice about a person (whether you know them or not)?

Their way of talking.

Whose Future is more bright in Pakistan; English blogs or Urdu Blogs?

Both.

How Pakistani bloggers can benefit from blogs financially?

Target a specific niche and then write about products that are helpful or related to that niche. Ads are old :)

Do you think Pakistani bloggers tend to remain somewhat self-centered and really don’t go out of their shells? Is it the oriental style of blogging, or they are still unsure about it?

Yes, they just don’t go out of their shells, I have seen people starting the whole new business out of blogging, but I have not seen anyone in Pakistan even trying that.

What do you think where the Pakistani blogosphere is right now?

Pakistan blogosphere still have to learn alot from international bloggers and they should start targeting international audience, so every can benefit. Writing only about jokes, or your friends, or your nick names is not going to give growth to the blogosphere and neither is of any use to other people.

Who are your top five favourite bloggers in Pakistan?

Every one is my favourtie blogger, I have not yet seen a bad quality blog.

Have you ever become stunned by the uniqueness of any blogger in Pakistani blogosphere?

I like Libel by Ayaz

What is the future of blogging in Pakistan?

Future is bright and I can bet on that.

You have also got a blogging life, how has it directly affected both your personal and professional life?

It hasn’t affected my personal life, but my professional life has much improved.

What are your future plans?

Many plans, you will know by time :)
