Informed Ignorance of US

Now I know for certain as why US public so readily agreed to their leaders to attack Iraq in the pursuit of Weapons of Mass Destructions (WMDs). Now its quite understandable as why in the hell US taxpayer is wasting money in the mountains of Afghanistan. Its all due to the informed ignorance.

When US columnists and journalists report false facts with utmost authority, and at the celebrated sites, US citizens, voters and taxpayers are highly likely to believe whatever they read. In a recent article, published on a very esteemed site, the author claimed that he knew the ins and outs of Pakistan, and he just dissected the whole nature of Pakistan, which was visibly extracted from Fox News and CNN, and he went on to tell his readers that Islamabad/Peshawar motorway was patrolled by Talibans.

They really doesn’t know the realities on the ground. Its one thing to witness, research and explore things here in Pakistan and its quite another to snugly watch CNN and Fox News in lounges and pull up a column.  Yes things are very tough here and law and order situation is bad, but Pakistan Army is doing a fine job in Swat by rooting out the militants. There are coward suicide bombers trained and sent by Indian agency RAW from across the border of Pak-Afghan border, who are wrecking havoc here.

India is basically exploiting the situation. US has once again mishandled the situation here. And instead of mending her ways, US is now counting on wrong shoulders for the wrong solutions. Its the need of time to start a dialogue with the militants with the facilitation of Pakistan Army, and try to single out the elements which only want instability, terrorism and who just want to commit crimes against the humanity.

    Talal Hussain Says:

The US public is perhaps, among the developed world, the least aware about the world. Keep your people busy with the bread and butter so they have little time to look whats happening around. Thats when its always easy to do whatever you like. A similar thing is also happening in our country right now. Shortage of flour, power shut downs, etc. are offshoots of the same planning. And India knows it well how to fish in troubled waters, thing it has been so apt at and they’ll surely do some hunting as the situation is ripe. It is time we think about ourselves and take steps rather than look up to US like we did in 1971.
