It was quite amusing to watch Humuyun Akhtar Khan, a rich son of a late general sitting with the beautiful Kashmala Tariq doing a press conference, perhaps his first serious press conference during his drawing room political career. He was hurling mud at the Chaudhry Brothers of Gujrat, who are hell bent at carrying on with Musharraf party.

Its like the true manifestation of history repeating itself. Chaudharys of Gujrat are watching in sheer terror at what they tried to did with their parent party PML(N). A strong splinter group has emerged within their party, who is trying hard to oust Chaudhrys from the party, while Chaudhrys have conducted an election within party to grab the leadership.

While the dissident group is all set to claim the positions of the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly and the Punjab Assembly. This dissident group has also acquired the support of a very strong like-minded group of PML(Q), which has already left the Chaudhrys. Atta Muhammad Manika, Dr Tahir Javed and around 50 other MPAs, who had already formed a forward bloc, have started direct contacts with the Hamid Nasir Chattha-led likeminded group.

Hamid Nasir Chattha is the man behind this whole rebellion against the Chaudhrys. He is a chronic lota and has always been at the forefront of power intrigues just like Manzoor Wattoo, who has already wrung towards PPP. Now its the war of lotas and when lotas fight, the only result is dirt, either way.
