Hillary Out , Now It’s Obama vs McCain
By Salman Mugsi • Jun 4th, 2008 • Category: Politics • No ResponsesAccording to The Associated Press tally, based on primary elections, state Democratic caucuses and support from superdelegates. It took 2,118 delegates to clinch the nomination at the convention in Denver this summer, and Obama had 2,154 by the AP count. So are we going to have an African American President in the world’s most powerful country at the end of this year?
With Hillary Rodham Clinton out from the Presidential race, now its one to one between Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain. During the campaign and the bitter fights with the Clinton, Obama has shown his mettle, and he has shown many smart and whipped characteristics, but the fight for the top slot in the world has just begun, and he has to fight for his life from now on to become the President of United States.
46-year-old Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois is all set to become the first black President in the history of America.
Barack Obama’s historic win poise a five-month hot campaign with Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona, a tough race between a first-term Senate opponent of the Iraq War and a 71-year-old former Vietnam prisoner of war and staunch supporter of the current U.S. military mission.
It’s now change versus experience.
