Quality medicine is a great resource for any country that has it. It also seems that those countries tht have medicine in abundance also have a percentage of its population that seem to take it for granted.

Lets take the UK and the USA.... Obesity rates seems to climb every year which place more strain on it resources. So although medicine IS a great resouce, so I do agree with you, but I would also like to add a concentrated effort to get things right at source is also very important.

Cure through medicines is fire fighting while keeping onself healthy through eating the right food is fire prevention. we must consider this aspect also. we lack medical facilities in our country because we lack resources. If the public sector could be involved, public can be educated to eat the right stuff thus the burden of health institutes could be reasonably reduced.
