Last night I was watching a talk show of Hamid Mir at GEO, in which there was a strange looking man with flames sprouting out of his nostrils, and a familiar colorful Fazlur Rehman styled turban and the man was litterally shouting at full volume in the defense of Fazlur Rehman. The other two particpants, Ansar Abbassi, the investigation editor of The News, and Zahid Khan of ANP were silently amused, while the puppy of Fazlur shouted, screamed ,threatened and bellowed.

It is an open secret that Fazlur Rehman was the guy who was all along with the former dictator Musharraf throughout his rule, and while remaining in opposition, Fazlur Rehman never let the opposition do any serious damage to the Musharraf, instead Fazlur Rehman provided Musharraf legality and chances many a times. This man has also got a history of receiving blessings from Benazir Bhutto and other rulers, and who doesn’t know about the diesel permits?

Now Ansar Abbassi of The News has presented the proofs that Fazlur Rehman’s close companions and relatives were given enormous land in Dera Ismail Khan. ANP says that Fazlur Rehman received that blessing because Fazlur aided Musharraf on numerous occassions, especially with the 17th amendments.

Fazlur and his crones are threatening to go into the courts. Let’s see when they go there.
