Goof and the Goofest
By Salman Mugsi • Oct 3rd, 2008 • Category: Politics • One ResponseOur president’s claim to fame is daylight national robbery. His public dry cleaning under the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) is the most blatant and shameless thing happened in the books of corruption even by the South Asian standards. First nature is punishing us by entangling us in all kinds of crisis, and now by throwing us at the mercy of the man who used to black tickets in the cinemas.
Zardari has put all his eggs (or more appropriately Pakistan’s eggs, as his eggs are tucked safely in Dubai and London) to the Yanks in whose prowess she has invested all his future. One thing is clear to the man that he isn’t going to see this glory again in his lifetime, and so he is playing for the first and last time. Sarah Palin’s beauty may have dazzled him, but then he already knew less about foreign policy than the Alaskan Bikini contestor.
The people of Pakistan have alarmingly become fed up of the lectures by Asif Ali Zardari, and they are ill at ease at the dramas of Zardari flashing the portraits of Benazir Bhutto at every media-intensive speech. Yousuf Raza Gilani, the premier of Pakistan is also leaving no chance wasted and is on the strange spree of naming everything to Benazir’s name, the latest being the Benazir Atta Card.
At stake is the country’s future, and these Gilanis and Zardaris would vanish in no time when needed.

Well, not that am a Zardari fan,but Nawaz Sharif also went to lenghts to rob the country. When he just a petty steel mill holder he is know for how he stole a Pak Railway engine and melted it in his foundry to make bicyles. Why Mr.Zardari was called MR.10%? Because when BB became the PM she wanted that an investigation be made into the motorway affair and a check into the billions that were spent and MR.Sharif offered zardai 10% of his robbed money as a shut eye or shut mouth thinge. So who do we call clean? NONE here.As long as Zardari is here lest pray and hope that things operate smoothly.I feel we are at a stage in our politics where we shoould stop criticising and start constructing
