Fruitless America Yatra

Even as the China is entangled wholly in ensuring the success of the much awaited and much controversial Beijing Olympics, had Pakistani authorities asked from them to host a state visit by our Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Chinese must have given them a warm and eager welcome, as they have been doing all these years for every Pakistani leader regardless of any situation, internationally or domestically.

It’s not just euphemism that the friendship of Pakistan and China is higher than the Himalayas and deeper than the Arabian Sea, its a time-tested truth, and to be fair China has always done more than the Pakistan, and China has even sometimes acted one-sidedly and never mentioned. China has always helped Pakistan in the times of peace and during the wars. China has always sided with the Pakistan in the war against India, and helped Pakistan in every field of life without any hesitation.

China is about to become a super power, but it has never showed that off to the Pakistan, and has always given esteem and regard to the Pakistanis. China has even once said that it gives guarantee to the geographical security of Pakistan, and would help Pakistan on the front foot if it faces any aggression from anyone. Pakistan can always rely on the bondage with China.

It’s very sad and agony-full to see then, the urchin leaders to kowtow in front of America. It’s very unfortunate to see that why then Hussain Haqqani the ambassador of Pakistan in United States begged to the officials in Washington to invite the Pakistani premier, and then the whole embarrassing tour of our premier was a telling story. The way he was treated coldly, and the way everybody in the US scolded and admonished Pakistan to do more, and then the way the entourage of PM was sniffed by the dogs; it was an apt reception for the lackey.
