Extension of Deadline in Swat for IDPs Return
By Mohsin Sehgal • Jul 10th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 2 CommentsPakistani security forces have broken the back of terrorists in the Swat and FR Bannu. With the terrorists of Swat on the run and Janikhel tribe of FR Bannu pleading for forgiveness, things also look hopeful in the South Waziristan, where security forces have started a massive operation.
With the summer of heat on cruel rise, the war resideu of internally displaced people is becoming a problem of extreme grave proportions. Couple of deadlines were given by the government for the return of these people, but they have passed and now there is one more extension. Search and sweep operation is still going in the Swat region, especially in the areas of Mingora, Kalam and Bisham.
Security forces yesterday continued search and sweep operation, demolishing two hotels in Mingora and a Hujra and a house in Makanbagh area on suspicions that it was being used as sanctuaries by the militants. The Inter Services Public Relations said security forces carried out search and sweep operation in remaining areas of Akhun Kale, Gamon Bridge, Rangeela, Khazana village, Wakilabad village, Baiddarra and Garai. It said one suspected terrorist of Khawazakhela was apprehended from Bisham.
No denying that search and sweep operation is extremely inevitable, but that should be expedited. IDPs should also be clearly told that they need to also be vigilant that terrorists don’t take them once again hostage and they must act against them.

Moonsons in these areas will be started on 14,15 july. Before this we have to move them from their temporary shelters other wise get prepare for another human disaster as such arrangements will be destroyed in first heavy rain and will create more misiries for poor victims of war on terror who are already charred ,depressed and home sick too.
Alas! We can’t make them neglect those awful memories and fear of the future they would have to go through.
