The vicissitudes of the time are very amusing and it’s a small world with myriad number of astonishing happenings. It’s very interesting to see the leadership of PML-Q, the illegitimate brainchild of General (r) Pervez Musharraf, has also joined the fray and asking United States to not to go for the war option and they have also called for dialogue with the militants and the warring factions.

Mushahid Hussain Syed and Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain, the two most utilized lotas by Musharraf in the washroom of politics played a pivotal role in the operations initiated by Musharraf, and they were directly involved in the operation against Akbar Bugti and Lal Masjid, and they were public proponents of the operations in FATA and Swat and they tongue never became tired of speaking against the peace initiatives and the use of jirgas.

And now the same perpetrators are “demanding” from the new government to not go weak in front of United States, and peace process should be followed and operations be suspended in the FATA and elsewhere. That and the most interesting thing is that PML-Q has asked for a joint session of parliament over this issue. Now how many times, the joint session of parliament was called in the previous regime, and how many times Musharraf discussed the issues especially the war on terror with these toadies?
