Dr. Kamal, Imran Khan, Shiekh Rashid in NA-55 Rawalpindi Elections
By Rohail Butt • Sep 28th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 60 CommentsWhile Muslim League tries to find out their options and prefering to keep the lid on the pandora box and seeking postponement from the Lahore High Court; Jamat e Islami, Tehreek i Insaf and Awami Muslim League are ready to test their luck once again from the weakening castel of PML-N.
Dr. Kamal is the candidate of Jamat-e-Islami and he has got an exceptional and immaculate track record of loosing in grand style. He has been loosing elections consistently from the Wah Taxila area and at last he was forcibly replaced by his son, who at last managed to win from Wah Taxila from Punjab Assembly, more due to the circumstances than due to anything else, and now he too hasn’t got any chance to win any elections again. So Dr. Kamal doesn’t pose any serious threat.
Sheikh Rashid is still thoroughly disliked by the Rawalpindiites and they are once again resolved to defeat the man with flying insults. Sheikh Rashid is once again building castles in the air and is seeking help from the other powers including PPP to help him to win the elections to degrade Nawaz Sharif.
PML-N after the fiasco of Haji Pervaiz and the plummtted popularit in Punjab finds it hard to field any candidate and that is why they want a delay.
In these circumstances, Imran Khan looks favorite from NA-55 if he doesn’t get way too arrogant.

it will be a one sided game if PML-N dont present its candidate and Imran khan contests with Sheikh rasheed ,one sided for Imran khan. Sheikh rasheed is gone forever now.
This blog does not suggest the ground realities of the constituency. Since Elections in February 18th no representative of the PML-N government has either visited this area or tried to complete the projects which were left high and dry. There are people lined up in front of Sheikh Rashid’s house to resolve problems and issues. The very reason Sheikh Rashid wants by-Polls in this constituency to prove he can win. He has even Challenged Nawaz Sharif to stand and fight from NA-55. Its better if Nawaz Sharif goes 1 on 1 against Sheikh Rashid in NA-55 to show everyone that he is a national politician not the one who can only run from Gulli and Muhallah’s of Lahore.
it looks absurd to speak of Mian Nawaz Shariff and the Thara Baz Sheikh Rashid in competition……….Sheikh can hardly win for union council ………..that too if GHQ rigs…………so have a heart man

I live in pindi and am one of the voters of NA-55. Sheikh Rasheed will never win the election.Sheikh will not even finish 2nd.
I live in NA-55 and voting for Shaikh Rashid only bcaz of PMLN. Shaikh sahib tell lie in 2002 election and posed as Mian Nawaz Sharif candidate.But later became DALLAH of Pervez Musharaf although he belongef to respectable family.Being the Minister of of cultre and broadcasting his prime duty was to make arrangments for entertainment of Pervez Mushraf and other Generals.He shud leave politics and forget about wining elections .
another crushing and humilating defeat is definite for shaikh rashid in NA55.
Nawaz Sharif is also a product of GHQ.
Since Pakistan is ruled by army for 40 years out of 62years of Pakistan s history. So all big politicians including Z.A. Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif enters politics thru GHQ but later did the politics of people and suffered at the hands of army. Where as shaikh rashid is opportunist and ditched peoples politics and for his convenience joined pervez mushraf. SHAIKH rashid can be compared with his relatives in occupied Kashmir SHAIKH Abdullah or his ideal SHAIKH Mujib ur rehman of Bangladesh that’s why he choose his party name Awami League.(please note Awami league full name was Awami Muslim league,when shaikh Mujib separated from Muslim league during fifties.)
shaikh rashid stands no chance at all in NA55 even the Dr kamal votes will be more. NA55 belongs to PMLN and definitly Lion will win with big margin.

we live in Rawalpindi and it is a citadel of PMLN.Only Nawaz Sharif’s candidate can win from Rawalpindi.

Sh Rasheed ne akhri waqat tak dictator musharaf ka sath nahi chora. Wo Lal Masjid k shaheedon ka qatil hae. Shekh Musharaf k tamam mulk dushman iqdamat main pura pura shareek hae. Sh Rasheed chahta that k musharaf pakistan pe hamesha haqumat karta rahe or pakistan ameria ka gulam bana rahe. Aaj shekh rasheed kis moon se ham se vote mang raha hae
Aakhir Pindi wale kub tak muslim League ko hi azmate rhayange. PML-N hamesha bahar k logon ko pindi se ticket deti ha. Is dafa hum ne mil ke yeh ehad kerna ha k hum apne potohar ki qayadat ko smne lange. Dr. Kamal is a favorite choice for the citizens of Rawalpindi. He is son of soil of Potohar ,the most pious and most educated candidate among all candidates.
Shakil Awan is not son of Potohar.
