Donations for Swat Operation Victims : Please Support
By Ghazala Khan • May 7th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 6 CommentsAs the Prime Minister of Pakistan Yousuf Raza Gilani has announced a full blown operation in the Swat region against the Taliban, more than a million Pakistanis are expected to get displaced and already .7 million people have migrated from the restive areas and they are now living in very harsh conditions in the Swabi, Mardan, Nowshera, Rawalpindi, Attock and other areas.
These people have left their homes and have nothing to eat, and no healthcare, no shelter and no other belonging. These Pakistanis need our help. They have sacrificed for us. They are homeless so that we could live in our homes, and they are without any shelter, food, medicine, jobs and business just to save Pakistan.
Please, please support these people. Donate whatever you can for these people. Best way for you is to go yourself to these people and help them out but you may do it through others. Below are some of the welfare oganizations who are working in these areas (And I have seen them with my own eyes, if you know of some other NGOs, Welfare organizations working here, please mention them in the comments.) and we request you to please donate something for our Pakistani brethern:

Thank you for reminding everyone that we need to support our brothers and sisters who are suffering. As I’m a student here at the University of Surrey, we are mobilizing among ourselves to collect as much donation as possible and will transfer to appropriate organization that is trustworthy. We did it before for earthquake victims in Baluchistan and now we are again ready to organize funding campaign for people of SWAT…..
