Do More United States
By Brig. (r) Junaid Zaman • Aug 2nd, 2008 • Category: Politics • (3,827 views) • 6 CommentsHearts and minds have to be won to win the war on terror, and its time United States must learn this point, otherwise the blood of people would keep on spilling in vain, and the thoughtless mantra of “Do More”, which is still there has to be abolished.
The border between Pakistan and Afghanistan is 2460km long, and on the Afghanistan side there are only 37 posts of US and NATO, where as on the Pakistani side the check posts are in thousands. So who needs to do more? Almost daily, missiles land on the Pakistani territory, and put the Pakistan in difficulty, because civilians get killed in such blind attacks. US even fails to stop illegal immigrants from Mexico, and repeating the same failure in Afghanistan.
One thing is pretty much clear that our Prime Minsiter Yousuf Raza Gilani has failed to convince George W. Bush to change the strategy in Afghanistan and towards the tribal region of of Pakistan. Afghanistan and India are getting more and more intimidating towards Pakistan, and our premier didn’t utter a word about it. He never on record protested with the US authorities over the US attacks in FATA.
The whole focus of Premier’s visit was diluted and its failure went to into background as the needless fiasco of ISI change of command occurred. The tour was all mismanaged and without any mettle from start to end, and the way things were executed by the massive entourage of premier was painful to watch.
Millions of dollars were promised by US as a donation to Pakistan, and millions of dollars were wasted by the premier and his cronies during the visit.

with all due respect and my apologies in advance if i’m mistaken somewhere.
what makes us believe that we fight for the cause of America? One hand we admit US’s supremacy on the world, the other hand we think that they’re threatened by some mullah’s & insecurity causes them to launch war on terror… confusing.
We are fighting. The mullah’s kill in the name of jihad without realizing that they’re killing the innocent, poor people. (benazir was an exception, which also i believe is an inside job). And there’s no room for dialogue with people who just cannot understand the basic principles of HUMANITY. If the government decides to take a step on NATIONAL INTEREST, the common man is supposed to stand by the government and show all due respect to the decision, which is only in their own interest. On the contrary, the government has always been left aloof whenever they’ve decided anything (its our history)….
whatever differences we have with Prime Minister Gillani, he should be given the respect of the position he holds. ENGLISH should not be a criteria of judging someone’s ability and skill. He is the Prime Minister of Pakistan, and we need to take pride in him no matter what happens.
(i personally hate ppp, infact all political parties, except PML Q & Hon’ble Musharraf sb.) but its not about ppp or any other thing, its about Pakistan.
The governnment have been compelled to take military actions against the fanatics, Hon’ble President escaped 2/3 suicidal attacks, Former Minister Sherpao sb. escaped a couple of attacks and similar incidents led the government to track the workers of the game and they had to take actions against forces who’re working to destabilize pakistan, destroy and completely shatter pakistan’s global image and most importantly they’re the devil workers who’re mis using ISLAM for all this.

My dear Khurram Singh
With your kind permission I dare to say:
DUSHMAN MARAY TAY KHUSHI NA KARIAY, SAJNAAN VI MARJANA
Extreme, hateful, Division in groups, religion, politics, pesonalities and so on making our nation weak. We all have democratic right to oppose, support, and disagree with each other, WE MUST AGREE TO DISAGREE.
Mullahs are an important part of this nation, millions of Muslims pray after them, and respect them, and they are not killers at all. ( May be you meant bearded man, they are not all Mullahs )
Pakistan People’s Party is one of the largest political party, and has support of Pakistani Awam. I am not fan, but I respect people who support it, and sometime I oppose it’s leadership. But we learn to respect each other, WE ARE ALL GREAT PAKISTANI, UNITED WE STAND. LOVE NOT HATE
with love, Khush raho Abad raho, Saeed

lol @ saeed bhai, i like your style of negating with opinions…. its an art you know, lol.
well, by a Mulla i refer to the people who’re purely hypocrites and are responsible for all the damage caused to our religion and the reason why ISLAM & MUSLIMS are the victims across the globe.
let me start with jihad… in common terms it means to pick up a klashinkof and kill the anti muslims.
and we’re unaware of the circumstances under which jihaad is allowed. there are types of jihaad as well, which i’m sure all of you had heard of.
people are dying of starvation in africa, bosnia, ethiopia and the mulla’s are busy producing terrorists in the name of jihad. why not spread the word to them instead of claiming responsibility of collapsing WTC, hijacking of Airplanes, a huge conspiracy, assasination of benazir sahiba….. it doesn’t make any sense to me. there are ways to dispute resolutions instead of banging airplanes & suicidal attacks.
As far as dispute resolutions with our tribals, i actually am in a better position to speak on them as i have a couple of personal experiences of Wana, Swat, Hungora. Where traditions like honor killing, an eye for an eye, wedding a 13yrs old to a 64yrs old (a jirga decision) (for reference watch OSAMA (the hollywood movie), sick…. these people ridicule humanity. And i’m not filled with hate or class indifference, this is the ground reality Sir.
people don’t have basic civic sense, no understanding of civilization watsoever and they’re not even willing to listen/improve/upgrade their living standards. look what happened with the lal masjid people, they could’ve surrendered and would’ve been even free by now, but they’re so overwhelmed with the power of kalishinkov, they challenged the writ of the govt. they gave a shit to the orders of the supreme authority of the state (the honourable president). Islam never preaches to breach or violate laws of the state. People mis-interpret the holy verses to satisfy their personal desires, greed, lust, power….. Which is such a shame. I’m not ashamed of being a muslim, but hypocrites create embarassing situations for MUSLIMS around the world. muslim families are being harrassed and people call them muslim terrorists from pakistan. (don’t tell me it doesn’t happens) i speak with authority that it does.
a bunch of few are busy defaming Islam and unfortunately the masses are helping them out.

Here Pakistanis are the hired gun Fetish. They very willingly opted to work as Mercenaries along Pak-Afghan Border area as puppeteer. They are only told; ‘to do more’ because they are paid off handsomely for the services; to keep the flags of Terror high in this area.
Where as the extremist lot; these hirelings can say or do any damn thing they want to, because they are also the ones who make money out of killing and to act as puppets; haven’t we seen….how cheerful they slaughter; who so ever comes into their trap.

Brig. Zaman, don’t be too harsh on PM Gilani for not being able to convince Bush of something. No one can convince Bush of anything. That’s one of the main problems here. The Bush record speaks for itself…he’s one of the worse leaders in history. So don’t be too harsh on Gilani for not being able to do what others have tried and failed. Unless some major event happens that forces a change, there won’t be any real change in American policy in Afghanistan until after a new American President takes charge. That’s the reality.
