Distance Between Zardari and Kayani
By Ali Yar Khan • Oct 19th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 4 CommentsOn 16th March, Zardari forcibly bowed in front of Kayani’s assertion that the chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry should be restored along with other judges, and then on 10th October of the same year, Zardari backed off from his blind support of Kerry Lugar bill.
Zardari is on record to say that Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry could only be restored over his dead body, and he is on the record that Kerry Lugar bill was a blessing for the generations of the Pakistanis. Pity on those ministers and advisors who have to defend the statements of their head. Kayani and his corps commander went public in their rebuke of the bill, and that was it.
Washington is not that much foolish. They know who the real players are, and once the army has shown its dissatisfacton, nothing Zardari or Haqqani say has any weightage. Washington will now either make the bill according to the whims of the GHQ, and rest will follow, or it would be scrapped altogether.
Though the presidential spokesperson, the poor guy, Farhatullah Babar has once again said that the meeting was very cordial and everything is alright, the close and veteran observers of the Pakistani politics know that the chink has become a gulf.

Prsident Obama has signed the KLB. US knows Pakistani army is used to a lifestyle which can be continued only with American dollars.
Marvi memon, Mazhari, GHQ may posture but nobody will oppose this bill in PRACTISE because they cannot accept pay cut.
Zardari is hidden behind kiyani that is why he is surviving in President house.He is just stick in president house with NRO glue to clear all the bills for Pak army.
How the big blow to GHQ has been digested by our rulers as no ethics and morals are existed in their line of duty.For last 24 hrs hundreds of people were detained by ARMY AND POLICE operation in surrounding areas of GHQ on the basis of absences of Pakistatn ID card in their possession.So this way they would sort out men who were master minded attack on GHQ gates frequently used by Chief and all generals. I think the dead bodies found in GHQ had no ID cards so our high profile intelligence units has got this tip to find all other criminals on this basis.
Zardari days start from the call of GHQ and ends after call from Washington.He has no more mental energy to use in President house.
There wasn’t any distance between President Zardari and Gen Kiyani, both were working smoothly. After secret meeting between Shahbaz Sharif and COAS Gen Kiyani at Rawalpindi, Army had expressed its reservations regarding Kerry Lugar Bill otherwise the issue might have been discussed indoor. The meeting was quite surprising; Chaudhary Nisar was also present who never accept even good deeds of government. Criticism should be constructive and for sake of development. The fact is this; Army should work under civilian government. CoD, the precious document, PML(N)’s most valued paper says that no party will encourage military to interfere in political system. PML(N) has violated Charter of Democracy when they met COAS and made him announce Army’s reservations publically. There can be difference of opinion, Parliament is there and there are many other forums where issues can be discussed. One could imagine purpose of such meetings!
The news of differences between Zardari and COAS is another attempt to destabilize country. Presidential spokesman has made it clear that there is no difference between
the Presidency and General Headquarters (GHQ) as both President Asif Ali Zardari and COAS Gen Ashfaq Pervez Kayani are committed to strengthen democracy. All the reservations of military on Kerry Lugar bill have also been removed.
Some non-state actors were creating and spreading speculations regarding differences between the Presidency and GHQ. All the state institutions are united on each issue.
Such rumors can not undermine stability of Pakistan and political leadership and military are one for the sake of this country.
