DHA and Malik Riaz of Bahria Town
By Haris Hashmi • Dec 22nd, 2009 • Category: Politics • 3 CommentsBefore the Defence Committee of the National Assembly is the Defence Housing Authority Ordinance 2005, issued by — you’ve guessed it — Gen Musharraf. The Defence Ministry wants this ordinance to be turned into an act of parliament.
What on earth for? DHA Islamabad is a housing society which has entered into a partnership with Malik Riaz of Bahria Town. Most of the land is his. The DHA will only be lending its logo in return for a certain sum of money and an unspecified number of five-marla plots. Fine. But why should a private housing scheme, which Bahria Town is, get sovereign parliamentary status? National Security is not involved.
The defence of the Republic is not at stake. So it scarcely makes any sense for the army’s name to be dragged in the dust, and the collective intelligence of Parliament (if there is such a thing) insulted, for the sake of an individual.

After musharf and his son now General kiyani’s brother and close friends are trying to protect this ordinance.
The legend of corruption is as such transferred to new breed of criminals of army and Kiyani has tightly closed his eyes on big scams of DHA and under fauji foundation too.
This again shows his attitude that he is real relic of Musharraf.
Malik riaz is doing all for which purpose he was supported by high profile generals, bureaucrats and judges.Most of them are close friends of Musharraf.
No doubt he has given extra ordinary housing set up for a particular class of Pakistan but how he did it ?It matters as he crossed many legal and humanistic limit while doing all this.
He bribed thousands of army officers mostly belong to MI, ISI of Musharraf time.
You would be surprise to hear that no police station can cover the criminal activity of Bahria town.1000 ACRES of bahria towns are exempted to come under any police station and that is on demand of mailk riaz only.
Gul hoi na
state with in state is a big concept that has left as strong imprints in our society after Musahrf era.
Malik Riaz is the most corrupt man in Pakistan.
Where is Phase -9 of Bahria town now?
