Desi Shemale Woes Will Be Heard Now ?

By Amna Gilani • Jul 5th, 2009 • Category: Misc, Worth A Second Look • 10 Comments

It’s laudable that after so many years, and after so many muffled voices raised for the rights of the shemales in Pakistan, the justice has taken notice and ordered the government to register them. This will not only help in projecting the true plight, which is extremely dismal, to the other genders, but also help in alleviating their woes.

There is no present or future for the Pakistani shemales and they are only some derogatory objects for the masses. They are abused and they are ridiculed. They are hired on the marriages just for fun and people abuse them in public and show their machoism. There is no declared policy for the protection, betterment and facilitation of this third sex, which is living in third class conditions in Pakistan.

Transsexual people are our own. They are from us and they are not inferior to us and we are not superior over them. They need our support and they must be treated as the regular members of the society.

You Always write the best but you disappered for more than 15 days.Keep on writing day by day

  3. Very Nice effort to bring the neglected ones to every body’s attention. There should be en end to this inhumane treatment for shemales for centuries now.

  4. bakwas as usual

  5. Amna i admire your guts and courage for writing this article.

  6. rubbish again

  7. hI aMNA,
These shemales are called Hijras in India. We tried to include them in disabled category but could not succeed.
They also indulge in various crimes and in bangalore they are all at every redlight trffic intersections begging but they are always wellfed.
They are used by Gays and lesbians and also carriers of AIDS.
I feel they can be used as police constables in women dormitaries.

  8. Amna Gilani’s bleeding heart sympathy for Hijras or eunachs trys to reach for nobility and equal rights but it far too problematic to sympathize with this lot. Like Johann said this community is heavily participant in crime and prostitution and carrier of veneral diseases. Not to say that all Hijras are evil but may be Miss Gilani can give a break to her brand of sensational 14 line journalism and give her subjects a balanced view.
Another thing “Shemales” in itself is a degratory term. So much for misguided liberalism.

  9. SEXUAL MINORITIES is the correct term.

Salim u are right when u say “Another thing “Shemales” in itself is a degratory term”

  10. India and Pakistan a have starnge Behaviour towards Hijras or Khusras. They are rediculed and sidelined. In fact we dont take kinldy to deformed, handicapped or physicaly challenged people, Bollywood (the trendsetters) have almost declared that white.pretty people are to be taken seriously and the rest are to be made fun of. This aspect is almost considered to be situational comedy.Even in our humour it is the physical aspect which apeals. So thus Hijras are outcasts, Since the society does not accept them, so they will go against the society.
