Deadline to NWFP Government By Talibans
By Dr. Hassan Isfahani • Jul 23rd, 2008 • Category: Politics • (3,891 views) • No ResponsesSpokesman of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan Maulvi Muhammad Umar said the Taliban were waiting for further instructions from Baitullah Mahsud as the deadline to the Awami National Party’s Government in NWFP has ended. What sort of instructions those would be? What else except of killing more innocent Muslims in suicide attacks and bomb blasts.
Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan is asking from government to suspend the operation in Hangu, Khyber Agency and Swat and they want government to bring the security forces back from these areas. That, and the Tehreek-e-Taliban wants government to release their companions and leave them alone.
Why don’t these Talibans are understanding? Either they are so dumb, or they don’t want to understand. Latter seems to be the case. If Baitullah Mehsud challenges the government’s writ, and go about his own style of governance in the tribal region, then security forces would intervene, and then Baitullah and his outfit would start sending brainwashed suicide bombers to the Peshawar, Kohat and even to other cities of Punjab and Sindh.
What would that achieve? Just more instability and uncertainty and gloom in Pakistan and the much awaited excuse to the ISAF forces to wage a war in our tribal areas. Is that the agenda of Tehreek-e-Taliban?
