Choice is Ours: Face It or Perish

By Ali Yar Khan • Jul 17th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 4 Comments

Yeah, let’s start with the oft-quoted history-proven, time beaten truth that ‘History Repeats Itself.’ No matter how much history repeats itself, it is also a fact taht people never learn from history. What happened some years ago seems to be repeating itself again. Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan would not be facing the situation they are in today if they had said ‘No’ to the Americans and got their act together to not to provide any excuse to the hungry super power to invade them.

Now all guns are drawing towards Pakistan. All of a sudden after Iraq and Afghanistan, Pakistan has become an epicenter of all things evil. As the eyes cast their spell on Pakistan, things are getting worst day by day in various areas of the country. From Balochistan to Karachi and from Bannu to South Waziristan, sort of civil war in going on and still our rulers are as oblivious as hell.

This is a dangerous game that is being played with Pakistan. Of course, if our leaders had the gumption, they would insist that our soverenigty must be respected, but then NRO-ed rulers can just hide in their forts and prepare for the next visit abroad. We as a nation must unite and rise to this occassion, before its too late. With an unabated spread of violence across the country, and the renewed negative focus on our resolve towards the war against terror, enemy is at our throats, and we have either to face and defeat it or perish. Choice is ours and time is running out.

it is not our choice to pick between the two as these are two limited options of survivals for third world slave countries,

it is name of a cage bird.

  4. It’s easy to say our leaders have no gumption. A little too easy, especially when we democratically elected them into power, and when they’re the ones running themselves into the ground finding our crashing country international support and funding. Yes, we as a nation must unite and before anything else, we must learn to support our leaders and to trust them and most of all - to have the ability to appreciate them, as compared to be overflowing with bitterness despite having elected them.
