Exuberant Feelings were observed in different cities of Pakistan over the winning and oath taking of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani as the 24rth Prime Minister of Pakistan of it’s 13th assembly. The seasoned player Yousuf Raza Gillani soar at the climax of his career starting from the grass root level. From Chairman of Union Council through Speakership of the National Assembly, he has reached to the top Prime Ministerial slot.

Makhdoom Yousuf Raza Gillani has been personally trained by Benazir Bhutto who was horrendously assassinated on 27th December outside of murderous Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi, the city where her father was hanged by a dubious court towing the line of dictator General Ziaul Haq. She was a great admirer of this chic spiritual leader of Haji Mosa Pak Shrine followers in Multan.

The backdrop of Benazir Bhutto’s brutal slaying kept the workers of Pakistan People’s Party and the lovers of democracy to celebrate the victory with ostentatious display of fireworks and such things. Had Benazir Bhutto alive, this place would have been occupied by her after some time, and perhaps Makhdoom Amin Fahim would be the interim Prime Minister.

Yousuf Raza Gillani did extremely well to ask from parliament about the investigation of Benazir Bhutto’s murder, which is still unresolved and despite of shabby and questionable findings of Scotland Yard, we still do not know who really killed Benazir and who is the real mastermind.

Nation also rejoiced the ravishing announcement of the release of the judges, and the way private channels showed the retreat Police outside the judges colony and the way people uncontrollably gathered around the Chief Justice of Pakistan’s house, it was a clear signal once again to Pervez Musharraf to go now.

The new era of Yousuf Raza Gillani is a massive challenge and a golden opportunity for him and his team comprising of the major political parties of Pakistan. We should all pray for the new PM and his team, and pray that the Almighty Allah keep him on the right path and to guide him to always do the noblest of noble things. That and as a nation, we also need to change our approach. We need to learn from our mistakes, and we need to think first about our country and then about our own vested interests.
