Car Bomb Blasts in Pakistan: Is Russia Involved Once Again?

At that the Afghan intelligence agency Khad was carrying out those attacks with the backing of the USSR.
In Pakistan, once again the car bomb blasts have become a norm. Perhaps the most frightening aspect of the recent spate of terrorism, which has shifted from being primarily suicide blasts to the targeting of important personalities and the army officials. Another terrifying aspect is the remote controlled and car-installed bombs in different cities of Pakistan, especially in the Peshawar area.
In July 1987 two car bombs went off in Karachi Saddar area killing 72 people and wounding 250. During the same days, there were three bomb blasts in Lahore. Then there were multiple car bomb blasts in Quetta, Peshawar, Rawalpindi and Islamabad. All these attacks were carried out through cars, and all of them were in crowded, busy commercial centers. Pakistani ISI and American CIA declared at that time that these blasts were the product of joint venture between Russian KGB, Indian RAW and Afghan Khad.
Russia hasn’t forgotten and forgiven the humiliating defeat it received by the hands of Mujahideens sponsored and trained by CIA and ISI. It was the primary reason why USSR disintegrated. There is every possibility that the Russians are once again, with the help of some elements in Afghanistan are behind these gory attacks in the Peshawar and Pindi areas. Right now the Taliban are on the run, chased by Pakistani forces and also CIA is against them. It is logical to say that Taliban would welcome the support of Russia for arms, ammunitions, other supplies and in return it’s not hard for them to help Russians in these car bomb blasts. Russians could also do it bypassing Taliban, just by their Afghan help.
Our security forces consider themselves to be absolved of any guilt or responsibility by declaring any terrorist activity as the suicide attack and they say that it’s a universal truth that the suicide bombings cannot be stopped, which is hogwash, because proper intelligence cannot only minimize the impacts of such attacks, they can also prevent them from happening altogether. But car bomb blasts are not that difficult to be stopped. Proper scanning and checking through trained dogs at all the entry and exit points of cities, important roads, and busy areas can thwart such attacks.

With all due respect, Russia is fighting Islamic terrorism in Chechnya and Dagestan.It well knows that Islamist terrorist are hiding in Pakistan.Vladimir Putin being a ex-KGB knows that he needs Pakistan support in fighting terrorists.Russia is emerging again as a power and it will not destablise its interest by harming its links with Pakistani government and ISI.
So no, Russia is not doing bomb blasts in Pakistan.
may be both of you are right. but in fact this is our own inherited sick mentality to blame other for what we are doing ourselves. teroorism in all its forms- wether feudal, political, military or through the suicide bombers is all the result of whar we are doing and many of us have even been found physically or logistically involved. there is no us, india, israel or russia behind all these. our military and allied organisations are the prime culprits in the truest sense. hope u understand.

i used to like her posts but after reading this one I feel that there is little substance in her conspiracy theory. Can I ask the writer Maria Sultan is the same who is the Director of South Asia Strategic Centre?

Ms. MS tried to put light Russian & American Involvement in our Domestic Affairs: That’s exactly the miniature flag-waving, self-righteous, interventionist bullshit that most of the world hates about Russia & very specifically right now America. The world is simply tired of arrogant US meddling. Saddam & Musharraff both were dictators no doubt – but with both how different American Attitude!

Moreover they have not been succeeded to dispersed the Tajik, Uzbek, Kaghistani or even Afghani, although Americans tried at their level best to create the Divide & Rule Policy as they applied at Iraq among likewise, (Non)Kurd, Shia & Sunni Sects., but here-at Afghanistan just declared failed rather totally failed.”
As our analysts sorting out that “Obama does have three options to present before his own Nation: 1. Go for Victory (2) Clear the Way as did Russians in 1989. (3) Find the Scapegoat for Face Saving.”
I personally think: Obama Admin’n have concluded Political Stability is utmost requirement for this poor & ignored nation which is lacking right now in presence of Zardari & Co. with whom not seem with solid Strategic Vision along-with unshaken Political Stability which is quiet natural this is a huge SET BACK for Obama Admin’n., besides Obama is committed before his nation that Afghan War will reach at anyhow & in any manner at its own Logical Result ASAP.”
So you Ms. MS can say likewise in constant manner WP & NYT have been saying that “Zardari does not have vision even he can not make any Idea where he standing is? Kindly keep in mind this sentence was delivered by me almost a month ago at this same forum therein I had incorporated “he’s been living in his Prime Time Period i.e. late 80s & mid 90s.”
Footnote: This is not as American expectation from PM Gillani in other words what Expect SC to PM Gillani:— The fact that AZ, RM, Zulfiqar Mirza, Ch. AM. & many other NRO’s beneficiaries are still in their job is in danger. Maybe it’s because it would be a ‘Pot & Kettle situation’ for PM Gillani if HE were to call them incompetent!?
Therefore, Obama Admin’n just wish AZ & Co. just focus on WaT instead of other SC or NROs are petty matters for American – No Importance. Therefore just Attention Diversion such Bomb Blasts are being taken Place & behind the curtain the Joint Venture of the USA, UK, Israel & India have been activated.
