Can Israel Attack Iran?
By Guest Blogger • Aug 29th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 2 CommentsBy hoax threats, Israel aims at mounting pressure on Iran so that in a state of tension Tehran may take some reactionary step against adversaries. In a latest move Israel has moved two of its Saar Missile Class warships through the Suez Canal. Ten days back Israel also sailed its Dolphin class submarine, capable of launching a nuclear missile strike, to an unidentified location. After official confirmation by Israeli authorities regarding their Naval deployment into the Red Sea, many analysts see it as preparation for a possible attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities while other rules out any such attempt in near future. It is true that US and Israel had recently concluded their joint war game as well as have planned to test Missile Defence Shield and Arrow Interceptor Missile at US missile range in the Pacific Ocean but this appears to be a routine affair.
However, Israeli defence officials have been quoted to have said “This is preparation that should be taken seriously. Israel is investing time in preparing itself for the complexity of an attack on Iran. These maneuvers are a message to Iran that Israel will follow up on its threats.” Though the latest Israeli moves are mere pressure tactics but it all depends on Iran’s reaction which may convert the US-Israeli joint exercises into limited attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities sometimes in the future. Iran, however, is now used to such kind of pressures and is least impressed by Israeli attempt to behave bigger than its frame. Last year, Israeli fighter aircraft flew over Greece on an exercise while reportedly in May Israeli and US Air Force aircraft conducted exercises over Gibraltar but no one got impressed. Israel and US, over the period of time, have strengthened ties with Arab and Asian nations who fear a nuclear-armed Iran. Both the countries have made considerable financial, military and infrastructure investments in a number of countries including Egypt where it successfully developed feelings of distrust for Iran, so that Islamic world may easily be divided over attack on Iran’s nuclear targets.
The relations with Egypt have also earned secure passage through the Suez Canal so that in case of strike on Iran, total Iranian isolation is achieved. Israel is underestimating Iran’s capabilities and is on the wrong track if it apprehends that Tehran would be impressed by Iranian “public exhibition of its muscles.” Israel’s missile-borne submarines and its fleet of advanced aircraft along with US hi-tech war machinery, no doubt, can be used to strike dozen Iranian nuclear-related targets and its missile programme but these countries might be under estimating reaction from Islamic world. In the event of attack, if they are able to bargain positions near Iranian territories, one might not see immediate reaction from Islamic states including Syria, Pakistan, Afghanistan and other Middle Eastern and African countries. However, in long term, US and Israel would be losers.
The plans of Capitalists and Zionists to invade economy of third word countries, especially through notorious concepts of ‘Globalization’ and “New World Order,’ would die its own death. Western diplomats have openly offered Israeli concessions on the formation of a Palestinian state in case they support for an Israeli strike on Iran. However, in Palestine, Lebanon and other Islamic countries there are only a handful of people who would accept Israeli cum western linking neutralizing Iranian nuclear threat with Palestinian settlements. Such cunning moves would only lead to political wiping out Jewish and Christian influence in Islamic countries and nothing else. Had the western reaction on North Korean nuclear programme the same as they are exhibiting for Iran, many of the Islamic countries would have abstained in Iranian nuclear controversy. However, Iranian peaceful nuclear programme is not feared by any of the Islamic government except the western installed puppets. US and Israel should also bear this thing in mind that Islamic world would not consider this attack as being carried out by these two countries but would take it in a broader prospective as attack by the West. Western countries in that case should forget that any of their items would be sold in Islamic countries.
Not very powerful Islamic countries, including ones who have no ability to respond by show of force, would at least ban all western ingredients and finished stuff, ranging from chemicals to high-tech equipments and investments. CIA, Mossad and Indian RAW are secretly carrying out propaganda against Iran that it conspired with US and NATO forces to defeat Sunnis in Iraq and Afghanistan. Ironically, if anyone defends US that it had no links with the Iranians, CIA agents would not miss any opportunity to reveal US-Iranian joint strategy against Sunnis in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Can any sane person believe what an enemy will tell about its adversary, especially US and Israel? US agents had been shouting at their top of pitch that CIA held meeting with Iranian officials in Switzerland to get help in defeating Sunnis in Iraq and Afghanistan. One wonders that if some independent Iranian commanders have defected Iran and joined US, we cannot blame the whole Iranian nation.
Islamic world should understand that enemies of Muslims would never allow them to unite. There was never a question of Shia-Sunni in Iraq during Saddam Hussain’s rule. Same stands good for Afghanistan when Commander Massod and Hikmatyar together gave a crushing defeat to Soviets and later to the US. Why today after eight years of US occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan all of a sudden question of Shia-Sunni gained strength? Why they are killing each other? This is because the enemies can only defeat us by creating differences among Muslims so that they lose ability to unite. We as nations of the world expect from anti-Islamic countries to give up strategy to terrorize smaller nations and contribute toward peace and tranquility in this globe so that all of us can contribute positively to each other.

Cool down, I don’t believe that Israel has the military capability to attack many crucial sites in Iran. If the target was one site it could be easier, but to attack many site it is almost impossible because no one will let Israeli forces to fly over Islamic land before hitting Iran. I think that Israel want other to believe that she can implement the attack in order to pressure Iran to meet with the western demands.
In an article in the Los Angeles Times print edition entitled “Iran leader talks tough on Israel.” The article starts with this paragraph, “Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who is Iran’s top political and military figure, said his country’s hostility to Israel extended beyond the government to the Israeli people as well. In saying so, he was brushing aside recent overtures by top Iranian officials to the Israeli public.”
When you read the last paragraph along with the first you have a disturbing picture that could easily incite Israelis who may view this statement along with Iran’s nuclear program to justify a first strike. “Khamenei said Iran has no problem with Judaism or other religions. “But we are on a collision course with the occupiers of Palestine and the occupiers are the Zionist regime,” he said. “This is the position of our regime, our revolution and our people.”
Iran is using the Israeli Palestinian confrontation as a rallying issue to divert Iranian public opinion from other problems they face. One of them is an election that many people believe was fixed. Neither Israelis nor Americans really care what goes on in Muslim countries unless their actions and behavior leads to the conclusion that attacks are their objective.
Attention on Muslim countries was heightened by 9-11. Why are Muslims surprised?
