Yet another fancy buzzword has been launched by the President of Supreme Court Bar Association, Aitzaz Ahsan. After the failure of his slogan 9 March Long March, he seems to have forgotten the rebuke he received even from the lawyers fraternity, not to mention the leaders of his own party Pakistan People’s Party. Makhdoom Yousuf Raza Gilani, an aspirant of Premiership has publicly thrashed out at Aitzaz for his not-so-prudent politics.

From 9th of March to 16th of March, Aitzaz has announced the black day to pledge solidarity with the deposed judges, and to mark the struggle of lawyers, and to put pressure on the new government to not to take this matter lightly. He has especially invited students for joining this black day and beyond. He has clearly said that if new government doesnt take serious actions for the restoration of judiciary then long march will be observed, which will shook the new assemblies.

Aitzaz Ahsan should also try to convince Asif Ali Zardari that he shed the bargaining and suspicious attitude on the matter of judiciary. The dubious stance of PPP is fanning rumours and apprehensions among the nation, and Aitzaz should try to do some backdoor convincing within the rows of PPP instead of confronting the new government so early.
