Baffled Dr. Shahid Masood

After the faux pas of Prime Minister speech, some people were fired under the orders of furious Dr. Shahid, and then the same Prime Minister got those people back even with more rewards under the pressure from the Information Ministry Sherry Rehman, another journalist turned politician. Dr. Shahid Masood also is trying hard to prove himself as the greatest of greatest loyal to the leadershp of Pakistan People’s Party.
In his recent bid to win the heart of the PPP, Dr. Shahid tried to shit the annual Azadi Show of 14th August from President House to the Prime Minister House, and now the contention runs high between PM secretariet and the office of President House. First the notification was issued that the show would be held in PM house, then it was notified that it would be held in President House as per the past traditions, and now once again, Dr. Shahid is trying to get the show back to PM House but Musharraf is not that weak and he wont let it go that easily.

May our assumptions proved to be wrong soon. He is very capable man indeed. But the thing we need is his efforts in right directions. If he is gona be licker of PPP then I must say Thank you very much Mr. Shahid and get lost.

now is the time to focus ground realities but since they’re being rewarded for their faithfulness, they give a damn to whatever is happening to the poor, common man, who’s getting worst each day.
the increasing food prices are killing the poor and these bloody hypocrites are busy in strategizing vengeance on Hon’ble Musharraf sb. who took an initiative in correcting the direction of the media in shaping a society, when he first imposed a ban on partial discussions and presenting the world with an artificial, dramatized pakistan, they never telecasted news, every thing the media has ever shown is a bloody rumor. shame on our leaders, our journalists, our media men.

In 1940 or there about Valabai Patel said “except one man every Muslim of India is purchasable”.
Allah took away that man in 1948 and spared him the pain of seeing of what his countrymen have become.
Dr Shahid like the rest of us recieved his price and shall live happily till the next bidder comes.
Dr. Shahid has now joined PTV as it’s Chairman as well as Managing Director.
He will be paid 2300,000 per month.
And he will not report to Information Minister Sherry Rehman but Asif Zardari .
Here is a comment on this appointment from veteran journalist, Ardsher :
“Some years ago, I wrote, ‘In Pakistan, every politician goes to bed at night with the dream that he would wake up next morning as the Prime Minister.
Similarly, I’d say today that, ‘Every journalist in Pakistan goes to bed every night with the thought that he would wake up next morning as the Information Minister or as Chairman of the Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV).’
Not only I repeated my above statement over the years but Pakistan’s 60 years history is witness that these two classes of Pakistan (Politicians & Journalists) have proved that I was right .
In fact, Pakistan is a weird country.
In many ways it is different than almost any other country in the world.
You can find the dirtiest and the ugliest people in Pakistan.
You can find the most conscienceless, dheet, beghairat, the greediest and the most corrupt people in Pakistan.
The unique quality of the Pakistani people is that, ‘every single XXXXXXXXXXX has a price’.
The only thing needed is that you have the money to buy him !

Dr Sahab, very well said. I had trust on this man but it seems that he also betrayed us. I was big supporter of this man but now his actions…. I seriously hate it.
Let me tell you his Medical year time story. One of his best fellow told me that Shahid and few others medical college fellows were used to theft and sell wheel cups of cars, parked near Medical college or homes… some time for fun and most of time for managing money to buy cigarettes. At that time, I took it as a joke but now it seems that his fun story had some hidden meanings for me.

Khochay I also heard rumors from reliable sources, that Shahid used to steel samosas from college canteen, and his nickmane was SAMOSA CHOR. Unfortunate part is, all his collleges shared those samosas. He also has honorary digrees in T C & Shotialogy. We all know this, then, why we care about such a guy. He is simply a man of words, he says what we want to hear, not that he believes in. He is a manipulator, and have no character, and so most of us are. We all believe, we are right, sometime we are not, because we don’t follow rules, and guidelines, and almost have no role model.

As a teenager, I often used this popular terminology in Punjab, for long time, without knowing the meanings, it’s used for a person, will do any ZALEEL thing to achieve his goal, and get favours. I was really shocked, when actually realized what it meant. Wait till you know. It’s never too late to learn.

I also was born Punjab in the early 60’s and came here to the USA shortly after that. I do speak and understand Punjabi though not familiar with some words used colloquially. I really enjoy listening to people speaking Punjabi and Seraiki.
All the languages of Pakistan are beautiful, though sadly the younger generation is not keeping up with the tradition of appreciating the linguistic beauty that they offer.
