Awami Jamhoria Pakistan

By Shayan Khan • Nov 23rd, 2009 • Category: Politics • One Response

It seems that the Awami National Party is only interested in changing names and nothing else. When their province, where they rule is on fire and is direct victim of the terrorism, they have managed to produced a very untimely rabit out of their hat that the name of Pakistan should be changed to People’s Republic of Pakistan instead of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

ANP’s one famous old slogan is to change the name of North West Frontier Province (NWFP) to Pukhtoonkhwa. Though they are in the government for almost two years, they are still unable to change the name. There is lots of controversy regarding this name change, and there is no consensus over this issue in the Sarhad province.

And now this new “katta” of Awami Jamhoria Pakistan.

ANP should focus on combating the terrorism and uplifting the morale of the people. There is enough time for these games.
