No one in the country is safe from the scrooge of the terrorism, and no one is spared at the hands of the terrorists. Anyone with the stand against terrorism is at the hit list of the terrorists, and whatever stands for the modernity and the peace and progress is the potential target for the spineless terrorists.

A suicide bomber blew himself up as he tried to run into the house of Awami National Party (ANP) President, Asfandyar Wali Khan on last Thursday, killing five, injuring 12 people but missing the politician. It was the Eid time, and it proved to be last Eid for many. It was as condemnable as any other attack.

The reaction of Asfandyar Wali Khan was very rational and reasonable and he was right when he said that the whole country was in the grip of this menace and we must all act together, and he also cautioned his party workers to remain calm and quiet. But the reaction of some of his acolytes was not up to the par and needs serious rebuttal.

One of the ANP members of provincial assembly crossed all limits and threatened of the civil strife and civil war in the country. Now what was that, and why? To against whom Iftikhar Hussain of ANP wanted to start civil war? Its they who are in the government in the province and in the center, and it’s they who are responsible for such lawlessness and it’s their responsibility to maintain the law and order. If any failure occurs, then they should revisit their policies and strategies instead of flapping their extra open mouths.
