Amin Fahim versus Asif Zardari

Scarcely have you indulged in the politics of Pakistan, when you find yourself in the very midst of a sort of tumult; a confused clamor is raised from all the nooks, a million voices come to your ear at the same time, each of them express their vested interest, and not a single voice catering to the needs of the people of this otherwise suffering country.
In Pakistan, politics is the chosen arena for the feudal and the they only get their kins in other institutions like bureaucracy, police, industry and army to facilitate their political interests. Thieves and pirs of yesterday have become the masters of our destiny, and while they fight with each other for the lever of power, they stand united in screwing their subservient voters.
Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) was the biggest party which emerged after the voting of 18th February, and right after their victory, two parallel factions started pursuing their interests in the party. One was led by the widow of Benazir Bhutto, Asif Ali Zardari and the other by Pir of Hala, Makhdoom Amin Fahim. The rift became publicly bitter, when Zardari ditched Amin Fahim and selected another Pir from Multan, Makhdoom Yousuf Raza Gillani for the slot of premiership of Pakistan.
Asif Ali Zardari was prudent and wise enough for himself as he agreed with the king makers to carry on with the “deal” struck by his late wife, and not only he strengthened his grip over the party, he also assumed the role of de facto Prime Minister of Pakistan while become Mr. Angel through the controversial and disgusting National Reconciliation Ordinance. What could Makhdoom Amin Fahim do when Zardari had the approving nod of Army, Musharraf and above all America?
Makhdoom Amin Fahim had only one choice, and he also being a veteran politician stuck to that choice and played as all-time available replacement of Zardari. Amin Fahim is biding his time furiously working behind the scenes to get more and more support for himself from the Sindh, power base of PPP. He is in touch with the discarded Bhutto family members like Mumtaz Bhutto and Ghinwa Bhutto, and enjoys the support of many die-hard feudal supporter of PPP in the interior Sindh.
As the expansion in the federal cabinet is in the offing, the contours within the cadres of PPP become visible more vividly. Makhdoom Amin Fahim and his alienated lot is being ignored tangibly once again, and in the recent CEC of PPP in Dubai a strategy has also been devised to counter the moves of Amin Fahim in Sindh. A new game is breeding in the power corridors of Islamabad, in which Sindh card would be willfully used against the PPP. According to this game , only two replacement would be made in the current setup; Governor Raj in Punjab and replacement of PPP leadership.
The attempt to impose governor raj in Punjab is imminent and it’s just a matter of time, while the the change in leadership of PPP is attached to many pre-requisite. If Asif Ali Zardari fails to act according to the tune played by the Americans, and if he tries to act way too smartly as far as Musharraf is concerned, then it would be curtains for him. Asif Ali Zardari has been conveyed by the Richard Boucher that there is no way Musharraf could be removed before March, 2009 when the new US administration would be in place soundly, and only after that period new options would be explored.
Mian Nawaz Sharif who is in London is trying more to convince American to send Musharraf home rather than tending to his ailing wife. But Americans are not ready to experiment with Nawaz Sharif, who “deceived” them in the last decade when he stubbornly refused Clinton’s calls and banged the nukes in the face of glaring America and belligerent India. For America, Musharraf is dependable, while Zardari is expendable, and this is very niche exists for Makhdoom Amin Fahim.

Yes, Fatima is the only hope for Pakistan from Bhutto family- she is the real Bhutto by blood and intellect. I am a regular reader of her articles and it’s hard to believe that she can have this oservation and intellect to write these articles in her young age. Her writings are based on very facts and concern of the welfare of masses. But before she walks in to the real field of politics, she has a lot of chellenges to face. Intellectual like Dr. Mubasher Hasan could be a very dependable guide but do not have enogh votes which counts in democracy and the people who have votes are not dependable at all. So please Fatima, take care of yourself first and then politics. We do not want to lose you for nothing. You can lead but lead the nation carefully and wisely.To start with few people in every district of Pakistan could be selected/ elected to deliver your message of great vision for the country among people at grass root level. FACTS ON THE GROUND IN PAKISTAN.Reference to the Islamic history and Pakistan’s independance period, I want to go a step further and will recomend to select/elect every Chief of Army staff as president after retirement and the present Army chief should be be given extra time for his oustanding services at national and international level and all other Corps. Commanders of the Army and COS of Airforce and Navy should be apponited Governors and Deputy Governors of the provinces and regions ( by creating regional governments in all four provinces, 2 in Punjab 1 in each province- these regions already exist based on language, culture and history , such as Saraiki, Potahari, Upper Sind-Sukkar, Dera Ismail Khan in NWFP and Gawadar- Balouch Area. And all additional bureaucrates who love to live in provincial capitals should be trasfered to these remote areas of the country. These new regions should invite and attrect the foreigner and Pakistani origin people to invest in the area to creat jobs and eliminate poverty.) This is the only way we can stop further intereption/ coup in Pakistan . After all armed forces personnel are wel diciplined and organized . And above all represent Pakistan’s divercified population.And it;s leadership do not transfer within family but earned by hardwork and talents only. Every second family in Pakistan is represented in the army one way or the other and the Pakistan Army is the only ever lasting popular party-yes it’s an important ruling party other than Bhuttos and anti-Bhuttos, Sharif brothers. With this arrangement no one is loser except few feudals and industrialists, who reprent non of the masses in Pakistan. We already have a quota system applied for superior services since 30 years and had killed thousands of innocent talented young people, why not try this arrangement for the welfare of the country which will effect none but very few so called politicians who after all deal with generals, behind the curtains.And it’s good to know that supporters of these politician are 500/600 Mafia families who live in 125 districts in Pakistan and provide so called public leadership for national, provincial and local levels. Any restriction to stop them is useless. Recent example of education condition brought their unseen educated women forward in politics. All 8000/9000 candidates in recent elections were from the same mafia group who are the biggest law breakers and around 1000 leading law breakers have been elected as new law makers who will take care of themselves but none. They all are involved in worst kind of crimes on this earth against humanity with the colaboration of junior police officials.An enquiry by a nuetral agency may prove my claim.WOULD THE EDITOR PUBLISH THIS LETTER in the larger interest of the nation. big names like Mr. Bhuto is believed to be it’s founder. You have the copy right to claim it back.
