America About to Attack FATA
By Brig. (r) Junaid Zaman • Jun 17th, 2008 • Category: Politics, Worth A Second Look • 24 Comments •Afghan President Hamid Karzai is a puppet and the puppet only move when it’s strings are moved by its master, and puppet cannot speak. Whenever puppet speaks, the voice and the words actually belongs to its master. So we need to read the puppet’s threat under the lines, and we need to be alarmed to no bounds at that.
President of United States, in the twilight of his tenure wants to go with some accomplishment after all. He wants to see the end to the Taliban (a.k.a Al-Qaeda), and he has said that the tribal regions of Pakistan are the safe heavens for them and he has also endorsed the threats of Hamid Karzai by saying that “It’s in no one’s interest that extremists have a safe haven from which to operate. Obviously, it’s a testy situation there.”
From very reliable sources, it is confirmed that United States has decided to attack the FATA region, especially the North Waziristan and the Mahmund Agency. They have trained thousands of commandos for this operation, and these commandos are mostly American marines and RAW agents who will operate in the garb of Afghanis and tribal lookalike. The stay of NATO, US and India in the region has started to bear the fruits and their preparation for the grand war in this FATA area are complete, and they are poised to launch their war.
The operation would be started intermittently. It wouldn’t be a fully declared war, but the commandos would infiltrate into FATA from the porous border and would start striking at the Taliban. They would be supported by the drones and the hellfire missiles, and already many religious political leaders of NWFP are in the control of the America. ANP knows that and they are not in the position to do anything. PPP government has sensed that and Zardari is just busy in securing his NRO and in cementing his role as the next President of Pakistan.
The proxy war of the US will be fought in the region very soon, and in this war it will be portrayed that a dissident Taliban faction is fighting against the Taliban. Already there are many incidents in which through remote control bombs the vehicles of Talibans are destroyed, and invisible attacks are being carried out on the Taliban.
It’s good that our defense spokespersons have made it clear to NATO, US and the Afghanistan that they would defend their territory, come what may. If tommorow, US attacks FATA, the day after tomorrow, it could spread in Pakistan on the pretext of securing the nuclear and missile assets.
Time to wakeup, countrymen.

Our army first time realised in 60 years that they have created dangerous mess in northern mountains that were once defended by these tribal men for many many centuries. Our army always created mess with neighbours for showing the importance of army rule in Pakistan under US guidance. Now we have only border left is china where US can plan evil tactics for next century as they are still unsuccessful to convince Indian govt to have nuclear deals with them,.So whatever is written in this column is 100 % correct and it is all curses of our corrupt army mangement.First time kiyani is retrieving from US instructions a little bit as he knows very well about the firy sentiments of people of Pakistan about their army.As Pakistan had always history of backing US wrong decisons on our borders,so present retrieve is quite annoying for them. One can also say that our army mangement has again put the security of country at stake as NATO forces have launced its combat actions within or outside the borders because now they have been quite familar with our geographical
limits and no plan to give up state control of our home land.
Very true. The dangers are very real. If the the attack on FATA does materialise, God-forbid, it will certainly spread all the way to Gwadar and Karachi, for strategic purposes.
This is the time for intense political maneuvering and statesmanship.
For the sake of the this country, and only keeping this point in mind, let’s not speak against each other and our own institutions. Let’s support the stance of our leaders and our army. Let us be ONE, let us look out for the interests of PAKISTAN
MSSHAIKH is right: “For the sake of the this country, and only keeping this point in mind, let’s not speak against each other and our own institutions. Let’s support the stance of our leaders and our army. Let us be ONE, let us look out for the interests of PAKISTAN.”
Remember if we are one united Pakistani nation, no one would want or can really hurt us.
Well, when the “democratically” elected thugs are incharge of the country, I am not holding my breath for statesmanship anytime soon…
Not sure who said that but this makes sense: “Nations Get the Leaders They Deserve”
The concept of people power in Pakistan is non-exsistant, rather its more so personified by the assumed “leaders” of democracy, which in essence are feudalists and have nothing to do with democracy.
So with that mind set we get the situation we are in. We leave everything on God, Army and US and expect for miracles. I am afraid to say that this is exactly what will take us down, and unfortunately we do not have much time left to rectify this situation. By the time we realise this, we may not even be the nation that we once knew.
Enemies of the state are not only knocking on the door, but they are executing their extensive plans as we know it - while our leaders have more pressing issues like long marches, in fighting, power grabbing and what not. My question to them is what will they rule when there is nothing left to rule? Ah, puppeteering will never go out of fashion I say - Look at Karzai!
Very well said. Its really alarming situation and we should consider it seriously. India is already trying to make excuses by killing Pakistanis in their Jails that once Pakistan should speak with high voice then they will get chance to start fighting on east borders too. One year back, security agencies found 3 rockets ( made in India) from Islamabad but Pakistan kept it hidden to keep good relations with India. But after all how much we compromise. We have to bring these issues on Media so whole world come to know. Whole day and night State owned media of India and our other enemies telecast Anti Pakistan news but our PTV is sleeping.
Now time has gone to fight conventional war. Who ever wins media war, wins to actual war. you have an example of Iraq and Afghanistan already. USA used Media to make different excuses to start war against them and they succeeded to entre in their teritiories and whole world thinks that they are right.
Same they are now doing from last 1 year against Pakistan. They are harldy bothering about Afghan taliban attacks…they are putting their all concentration on one thing i.e. PAKISTAN is sending taliban from their area. We can’t convince them because they are rulling on Int’l media. We have to make our minds ready that we will reply back accordingly, if NATO or RAW will try to get entre in Pakistan area. although our brave FATA people were enough to tackle them but now FATA people have strong reservations against our Army. They won’t help us as such. One more thing…. few people from us will now try to put all rubbish on PUNJAB but this is one example that who are doing wrong…. PUNJAB or ARMY??? Think on it please. Punjab is not backing any such activities rather Punjabi soldiers are giving lives in these areas on so called war started by MUSHARRAF…who was Army General and non Punjabi too. I feel very bad that you people always tries to put all allegations on PUNJABIS…although in the history of Pakistan, maximum command normally remained in the hands of other provinces…whether it was President…Prime Minister or General. Although its not the time to discuss provincial issues but I’m very hurt on few comments that PUNJABIS are behind every issue. Its right time to tell that who started fuss in FATA and who obliged US forces… so that tomorrow that guy should think again.
Aftab S. Alam
but we are supported un-elected leader to whom nation dislikes, in this case can we be a united nation?
Farid Masood
I have no problem with this for me Pakistan must come first; liking or disliking plays no significant role. The country must be safe and secured; the nation will be there, you and I will be there and we can sort out our problems. Of course, you would prefer what your mind tells you and I am no one to set your priorities. I am little “backward” when it comes to my country then it must be the first, the foremost, over and above all, the first and the last!
Dear Aftab bhai,
some time its matter a lot. because is it fair that at a time of bad time…our opportunist group (military + his strong allies) raises voice of UNITY, FAITH etc etc… when bad time ends…they hardly bothers to think positive about those who are against military rule. Covering smoke with thick blanket can not solve problem… It can only issue but this delay results in big fire and uncontrollable fire. If this time again few people thinks that we will again cover smoke area with blanket and will forget civilians help later on then it won’t work. We are on the verge of collapse just because of not addressing national issues on time and still trying to postpone it. It won’t work. People have lost trust and this trust won’t come by just raising slogan of Unity. People want assurance and guarantee this time. How we can forgive a man who bringed us at this point by just covering all his wrong actions. This time, if government want Unity then it should first prove otherwise it won’t work.
Most of you guys will be thinking that why I’m getting harsh on Unity issue. I’m simply trying to realize you that people don’t have trust on this establishment and in such situation…Unity is difficult to find. Its same that Baluchistan’s main stream leadership is not trusting on Zardiari’s and National Assembly’s “MAAFFFIIII”…they are demanding solid steps to revive trust of Balochi people on Federation. Same is the case with rest of nation.
My dear Saleem Khan, it is nice to see you cooling down a little and showing some generousity (calling bhai and all!). Let me repaet what I wrote to Farid Masood Sahib above:
“The country must be safe and secured; the nation will be there, you and I will be there and we can sort out our problems. Of course, you would prefer what your mind tells you and I am no one to set your priorities. I am little “backward” when it comes to my country then it must be the first, the foremost, over and above all, the first and the last!”.
Nice day!
Saleem Khan Sahib, here is an interesting piece from DAWN, check it out. You might agree if read carefully and with open mind:

Aftab S. Alam Says:
June 16th, 2008
“……….But the real reason why President Musharraf is important today is because he is the sun around which Pakistan’s small universe revolves. In an ironic way, he is the apple of the eye for the judiciary, political parties, civil society and even the Islamists. The moment President Musharraf decides to throw in the towel, the grand shows that are being staged in different parts of the country, the speeches, the street marches, numerous press briefings and last minute revelations on television screens will come to a halt.
The continuing excitement in Pakistan’s politics which is providing a smokescreen to hide the grim reality of world economic recession, rising commodity prices and a bleak investment outlook for the foreseeable future will disappear quickly like vine withering away in a rainless hot summer……
…..
Others are united in the belief that he must be held accountable for overthrowing a democratically elected government and undermining an important institution of state. Still some more want him to be accountable for the hard strategic decisions that were taken during the last eight plus years, costing precious lives in Kargil, Balochistan, North Waziristan and Lal Masjid operations. Whatever their gripe, they are united in their hatred for Musharraf. As long as he is in office as president, the nation stands united — even archrival political parties whose leaders suffered so much at each others’ hands have decided to ignore their half healed wounds. They have become brothers just to take on Musharraf.”
(Musharraf’s last legacy - Syed Sharfuddin, DAWN, Saturday June 14, 2008)
Dear Aftab
I mostly remains cool. You are Pakistani, I’m Pakistani too. You are Muslim and I too. If I writes Mr. Aftab (without bhai) then it doesn’t mean that I’m angry on you. Just some time your arguments surprises me lot. Specially when you tries to put all blames on Punjabis. If offers you to please visit Punjab and live in my area. You will hardly find that we hates any specific area people. You often takes my words related to MQM as I’m against Muhajirs. I do accepts that couple of times I did arguments on Muhajirs also but it only happened when few guys were trying to put all blames on PUNJAB.
anyway leave this discussion. enjoy your day.
Saleem Sahib, tell you what I am one of those Pakistanis who is hated by everyone else and I am really happy for this. Because a true Pakistani loves all Pakistani people which is against the Pakistani psyche and reason for suspicion (how can one be pro human beings, pro Pakistanis,
pro Punjabi, pro Sindhi, pro Pakhtoons, pro Baloochis, pro Muhajirs, pro Siraikis, pro Memons, pro Gujratis, pro Sunnis, pro Shias, pro Bohris, pro Ismailis, pro Ahmadis and all the rest). It is my failing that I have not been able to convince people that this thing called love is bigger than regions, languages, beliefs, and even beyond the limitation of time and space.
Aftab sahab,
I not hates any body on the basis of any location, sect, religion or customs. I have friends from all over Pakistan and very close friends from India even. I have lived in 3 provinces of Pakistan also. I have never find any hate for me. I tell you, our Pakistani majority is very loving people. They do argue and keeps some reservations but gets unite at the time of problem. I have seen myself biggest example at the time of Kashmir Earth Quake. That time, all men and women forget that from which area and which class they belong. I love such feelings and brotherhood. But it damages me badly when few people tries to put all rubbish on one Province or certain area.
I felt seriously very very disgusting when Iltaf Hussain came on media exactly after BB death and tried to prove that PUNJIBIS did this. Is this an example of Unity. Are we criminals. Every body knows names written in her letter that who can kill her. You know, leaders drives whole nation and when few opportunist leaders will try to spread this kind of hatred for other provinces to gain cheap popularity then …… no need to conclude. (Bangladesh came on world map in 1971 already)
Sir,
If what you say about RAW is true, then i will be proud of them. But then operating from Afghanistan into Pakistan’s FATA is more difficult logistically than say operating inside pakistan controlled Kashmir from our side of border. As a military man you should know this. We are not even doing that successfully as your socalled FREEDOM FIGHTERS are doing in Srinagar and other urban centres.
The question is when russians were ruling Afghanistan by proxy and Osama was training with ISI and CIA the socalled mujahadeen to infiltrate into Afghanistan and kill the russians and then rulers, it was jihad. Now when baitullah mehsud tries to do that, Musharaff stopped it. But the new government might have allowed it with wink from Army and ISI and continue the Jihad. But then cross border terrorism is different ballgame in FATA/AFGHANISTAN border with NATO forces on that side and your army getting 10 billion US dollars.
A new game is unfolding and i am watching with interest.
captianjohann, what do you mean by “socalled mujahadeen”? What do you prefer to call them? I can sense some interesting itch in you, what bothers you?
“Our army first time realised in 60 years that they have created dangerous mess in northern mountains that were once defended by these tribal men for many many centuries.”
Cut the joke nazia. How can uneducated, uncivilized tribesmen who never actually became part of the Pakistani nation and the system can protect the border? And who exactly they have been protecting the borders from? Please stop talking nonsense guys. Those cavemen who refused to be part of Pakistan cannot stand a missile today. This is the truth, face it!
The fear of UCAVs in other words is the fruit of illiteracy. Come on nazia, Pakistan surely never depended upon the uneducated defenders.
In the name of religion, customs, pride.. in self-righteousness… they chose wrong.
Those cavemen who refused to be part of Pakistan cannot stand a missile today. This is the truth, face it!
very true
What Truth????
Truth that same FATA tribes helped Kashmiris and snatched some part from India in 1948. Why you are unable to give credits to those who worked for us in bad times.
They also fought war against Russia and today you are trying to teach others that they are nothing. Please at least give credit to them on their support. Its not their fault that Pakistan flips its policies like coin. Its our Military rulers fault that used them in difficult times and then turns their faces in opposite direction.
Mr. Zeeshan, have you fought war against Russia??? today you are sitting in AC room and writing against those who lost their lives in Jihads in 1980’s. Afghanis are not afraid of our coward Army. They are actually afraid of these FATA area people. If you not belives then visit Khyber Agency and take interview of Afghan refugee. He will tell that how they runs when any FATA person only shouts on them.
FATA…..FEDERALLY ADMINISTERED TRIBAL AREA, NO LAID DOWN RULES ,NO CONSTITUTION,NO LAW AND ORDER ,KILLING ,DRUGS PEDDALING,PAID KILLERS ,THEFT,UNCONTROLLED AND INACCEPTANCE TO JOIN PAKISTAN,ABNORMAL SEXUAL BEHAVIORS,SMUGGLING,OPIUM CULTIVATION,FREE ARMS AND AMMUNITION, ILLITERATE,AND ………………………….BLA BLA .
With such tremendous behavioral deviation these insane people has literally put Pakistan in to tremendous turmoil and threat to integrity.
Not a single individual if he does not belong to the area can claim to be a visitor in this well know “illaqa ghair” “no men’s land”.
Social in acceptance and rivalry of this area against Pakistan is to the extent that pin point targeting to civilians in cities are subjected by suicidal attacks, utilizing ,playing and being in the hands of our enemy espionage agencies.
In my opinion, there is no threat at present, and only operation clean up in the vicinity would be the route of choice.
By no means can these people from tribal belt near Afghanistan be put up with our brothers in NWFP, as they are the heart of Pakistan and our essential body emoluments and belongings.
In my opinion, clean up of the area is a mandatory requirement of Pakistan herself so to relief major civilian population that are now deliberately under the control of these afghan kum Taliban as their tentacles are even troubling Pakistani domain as well.
Doctor Sahab, I want to put simply one Question??? Have you ever visited that Area? Have you ever met these area people and have you ever tried to get information that how they are living and passing time.
I don’t think that you have even visited Peshawar otherwise you must had idea and your comments would be not so baseless (based on rumors only).
Before you answer, I can loudly say that I visited 3 agencies of FATA and I haven’t find as such law an order situation by our pure FATA people.
Answers to your full block comments:
“FATA…..FEDERALLY ADMINISTERED TRIBAL AREA, NO LAID DOWN RULES ,NO CONSTITUTION,NO LAW AND ORDER ,KILLING ,DRUGS PEDDALING,PAID KILLERS ,THEFT,UNCONTROLLED AND INACCEPTANCE TO JOIN PAKISTAN,ABNORMAL SEXUAL BEHAVIORS,SMUGGLING,OPIUM CULTIVATION,FREE ARMS AND AMMUNITION, ILLITERATE,AND ………………………….BLA BLA .”
FEDERALLY ADMINISTERED TRIBAL AREA—– Is this in FATA people control that this rule still exists?
NO LAID DOWN RULES—- Pakistan have laid down rules, is killing, raping, missing persons, injustice finished?
NO CONSTITUTION—– Musharraf and his allies only knows meaning of CONSTITUTION and they followed 110%. Am I right?
NO LAW AND ORDER—- Pakistan have Law an order? Lal Masjid, 12 May 07, Missing persons, Basant killings, Stell mills are followed by law and order. Great.
KILLING—- Karachi seems part of FATA rather killings in Karachi are more than FATA.
DRUGS PEDDALING— what about Pakistan?
PAID KILLERS —- Oh I see… Benazir Bhutto and many more were killed in FATA.
THEFT—– 3 robbers were burnt in FATA instead of in big city of PAK.
UNCONTROLLED AND INACCEPTANCE TO JOIN PAKISTAN—- By whom… Poor people of FATA or opportunists rulers of FATA. as few exists in Pakistan. one is big…you know very well that one.
ABNORMAL SEXUAL BEHAVIORS—- that they not allows vulgarity in public? if you are point about homosex then its spreading in Pakistan areas more faster.
SMUGGLING—- who are doing. FATA poor people or NWFP main businessmen? Pls check data.
OPIUM CULTIVATION— Is FATA an Afghanistan? Who is allowing to import chemicals that are used in making drugs? It after all crosses whole Pakistan then reaches Afghanistan (Not FATA).
FREE ARMS AND AMMUNITION—– Who started war policy… They or our great Military dictatorship.
ILLITERATE,AND ………………………….BLA BLA .— First educate your Pakistanis and give shelter to 2.5 million street boys who sleeps in PAK Streets. Give them chances for education and they will be literate and will serve great United Kingdom too.
Dear, it’s not at all a comparative study between nations, neither it’s necessary to visit places so to evaluate or dig the heritage, culture, norms ,nature, tradition and behavior. Opinion can not be put in to ground realities.
Opinion is based on self assumptions with motivated desire and observation of the floater, as experience and understanding.
Whatever you said, it is a self sighted and calculated findings and assumptions of your own observation which reflects your desire and reservation to rectify our nations with the reference.
Comparison of subject Para articulations clearly reflect your admittance of framed charges.
People in Pakistan have diversified cultural heritage and variant endemic mentality and pace as nature and norms. None from Khyber to gawadar and Karachi to Kashmir can be compared with these afghan originated tribal belt, which almost depends on whatever has been framed as my observation.
So you thinks that you are telling is based on realities and I’m writing my opinions only. Its not like that dear. Writing excellent English can not solve problems. It needs to realize ground based reality. You thinks that clean sweep is as easy. If it is so easy then what your beloved Musharraf did in last 8 years. Why he remained in his ARMY HOUSE TUNNEL as Coward General in last 8 years. He should be leading Army who are operating against Taliban in FATA. Dear I told you …its easy to write while sitting in AC rooms but very difficult to visit to see ground realities. If USA President wife can visit Afghanistan to increase morales of US Army…what was problem with Musharraf. Coward Generals can’t win wars dears. They goes in tunnels or leaves Army by making different excuses at the time of need. But then pretends to be loyal Pakistani and Army Lover. Bloody opportunists. They joins Army for Career and Leaves Army for Career. But pretends that they are serving nation due to our Love with Pakistan.
“America About to Attack FATA”
Oh that’s sad. FATA should fight back.
I completely agree with Zeeshan that those people cannot cope with one missile.
