Aitezaz Gets Ticket of NA-55
By Ali Yar Khan • May 9th, 2008 • Category: Politics • 3 Comments •President Supreme Court Bar Association, Aitezaz Ahsan has eventually and expectedly got the Pakistan People’s Party ticket for the NA-55 constituency of Rawalpindi and despite of so many speculations, this end was expected and the truth is that PPP had no other option but to nominate Aitezaz from here.
Mian Nawaz Sharif, the chief of PML-N had already offered Aitezaz Ahsan that he may contest the elections from this constituency and PML-N would not place their candidate in that case. Aitezaz also announced his desire to do so. But then Zardari came up and didn’t like the Aitezaz’s popularity and hinted at contesting himself from this area and even said that Nawaz Sharif had given that seat to him.
Aitezaz Ahsan then filed his paper from NA-55, and showed his firm decision to contest from here even if PPP didn’t nominate him from their side. He knew that his presence in the assembly could be one of the most unfavorite thing to digest for the forces of status quo. Asif Zardari also know that he would be defeated by Aitezaz in one-to-one election hands down from NA-55.
Though Rehman Malik, Latif Khosa, Farooq Naek and Babar Awan wanted Zardari to fight from here, but Zardari knows better in this case.

yes !he gets the ticket ,but house is full………………….now guess will he enter the house or he has to wait till show is over .
GEO claimed he got the ticket. GEO is a rumour mill, and an ardent Aitezaz supporter. But, this claim has been refuted by Farhatullah Babar on PTV.
NA-55 isn’t going to be easy!
Aitzaz Ahsan is a lawyer, Poet or a politician ?? Must be a multipurpose device which is user Friendly. Is their a seat NA-420. I think it would be occupied, but he can be a serious contender in Heavyweight Class.
