Aitezaz Ahsan Versus PPP

Moods are changing and things are getting tougher behind the curtains of Pakistan People’s Party. Even in the life of late Benazir Bhutto who was assassinated on 27th December, PPP’s stance wasn’t much clear over the reinstatement of judiciary, now as they are the leading seat-winning party in the National Assembly they are still playing with words and reluctant to come up with some concrete statements over the reinstatement of Nov. 3 judiciary.

The thing is that freedom of judiciary is the paramount issue in the minds of people of Pakistan, and that must be started from reinstatement of Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhary and other incarcerated judges and lawyers.

The votes got by PPP and PML-N are in the name of assassination of Benazir Bhutto, resolution from the crisis of flour, gas, power, price hike and terrorism, and the reinstatement of Iftikhar Chaudhary.

These votes can backfire, if they hesitate about their promises.
