Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam: Heretic or a Scapegoat

By A Khokar • Jun 4th, 2010 • Category: Politics • 12 Comments

For any humble citizen of Pakistan; religion may not be the criteria of one’s nationality, as Islam is a peace loving religion which teaches that ‘there is no compulsion in religion’[2;256] and there should not occur any clash in understanding one another as ‘For me is my work and for you is your work. You are not responsible for what I do and I am not responsible for what you do.[10:41]. But it is seen that in the mull of the history of Pakistan, this has been the practice that whenever some government saw their boat bottom was hitting the rocks and needed rescue; to save their face and utter humiliation; they invariably have come up with a trump cards of Ahmadiyya issue by making them the scapegoat and diverted the attention of masses and  obscured and covered up their  follies. So much so that extremist seeing their popularity graph going down have exclusively tried to attack Ahmadiyya worship places; killing some 94 in Lahore; hoping that they may reap some sympathy in the public eye by killing Ahmadies since declared Infidels.

In 1974 Z A Bhutto wanted to become the Maha leader of Asia but country was still sizzling in the fire set by the humiliating Fall of Dacca in East Pakistan. It was a colossal failure of national strategic outlook and diplomacy at the hands of the rulers which eventually resulted in the shape of Dacca debacle. Pakistan had lost its half of the territory.

TO put up some brave face and recover from the utter humiliation that this nation was made to suffer; a unique recovery plan was carved to  stir the religious sensitivity among masses and to harness the blood thirsty opposition parties along with religious gangs, the Ahmadiyya card was called—. This would certainly line up all the oppositions behind Z A Bhutto. Some 93000 Pakistani war prisoners were still held by India.

This was the time to reflect and taking charge of the follies of the past. Nation was in need of hard works of its rehabilitation and giving them ample hope for their future but strangely Mr Bhutto  took some of the leafs out of Niccol’o Machiavelli, ‘Manual for Tyrannical Rulers’. He gave peoples the  slogan of Roti, kapra aur makan (Food, clothing and shelter for all the poor) to enchant and  pulled a contentious Ahmadiyya religious card to divert the attention of nation that he got no other solution at hand to balm or heal the deep war scars, the sufferings and oppression.

As a first step in order to see that country must be seen united (whatever was left of it)— he did it at the cost of declaring the sect of Ahmadies as infidels and threw them out of the pale of Islam. Religious pessimists were adequately gagged with this move. He also orchestrated an Islamic summit at Lahore; many more kings and dictators from around the Islamic world were invited to show their solidarity and support for the maestro.

Z A Bhutto was able to make a substantial leap forward to make his place high to become a Maha Leader in Asia, a powerful man. He was now poised there in disguise to take on the job of ‘Renaissance of Lost Glory of Islam’. But sadly it did not take very long that man was sent down the gallows by the military dictator chief General Ziaul haq, the man on whose crutches Bhutto was standing. This was a tragic end of an ambitious man. But during his tenure Bhutto could set a pace for Pakistan as a potent country which  could lead the Islamic world. But the irony is that not a single demonstration was held in his favour, the day he was set down in the grave.

After Bhutto’s demise, General Ziaul Haq very conveniently moved forward to become the Ameer ul Momineen and went head on to act as proxy of United States and  lodged a jihad war in Afghanistan (on US terms) to evict the US rival power; Soviet Union occupying Afghanistan. General ziaul haq as Ameerul Momineen was looking forward to see a dawn of Pan Islamism in this entire exercise.

He brought lot many changes in the religious fields in the country and lots of work were done to inculcate a new religious doctrine in the military forces.. The National motto given by the founder of nation Qaid e Azam of; Unity, Faith and Discipline was also replaced with; Emman, Taqwah and jihad. Accordingly once again the religious anti Ahmadiyya psyche and sentiments were aroused among the masses as well as in military. It was planned to use Ahmadiyya as a  scapegoat once again. This time, if this scapegoat was shown being dealt with more impunity, it would certainly pacify the opposition and unite the masses for a good long time.

Accordingly General Ziaul haq formulated a Presidential notification called as Ordinance XX of 1984 and announced a most draconian law  which will seize all the human rights of Ahmadies as their being a free Pakistani citizen. Hence severe punishments were announced if they were found practicing or preaching their religion and posing  as Muslims.  Later a new criminal code of 1986 were also added to the ordinance with new section especially, 295c to punish any Ahmadi and he be killed by any person if in his personal capacity— he was satisfied that a particular Ahmadi was seen praying, reciting kalmia, the names of Allah or the name of Prophet Muhammad (saw), This would have incite his religious sentiments and thus he may kill him. Please link here to see the copy of Ordinance:  http://www.thepersecution.org/50years/paklaw.html

In compliance of the discriminatory laws and wide spread persecution, many Ahmadies were murdered, and maimed ; many more were sent behind the bars. Fearing their virtual extermination a large number of Ahmadies fled the country and migrated abroad. They are spread now across the whole planet. Ahmadiyya head of community Khalifatul Masih Rabih, Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmed also shifted to London with his camp head quarters.

God Almighty certainly comes to help of his chosen ones and we see that after reaching abroad the Jammat has progressed leaps and bounds. Their strength has now swelled to many more millions and it is seen that while out of Pakistan they are better organised and could serve the cause of Islam in more befitting manners.

Anyhow it did not take very long that wrath of God Almighty’s — showed up once again and we saw that it caught the transgressor up and sever his life. He was blasted while in the sky travelling in a military aeroplane along with his 19 other cohorts.

On May 28, 2010 this will be the third time; when Ahmadiyya are being used once again as  scapegoat . This time by the religious extremists. We all know that how these religious Extremist  while living among the masses have been breeding under the watch full eyes of doctrinarians of our certain Madrasahs and are now turned to monsters. While playing in the hands of enemy of Pakistan and to fullfill their rapacious greed to come to the power in order to take over the country; they  have adopted the tools of subversion by creating fear and terror in society. These extremist have repeatedly been attacking the security forces and their installations to under mind their authority and deplete the writ of government in all the sphere of society. They have spread enough of anarchy and killing in the country that Pakistan can be said that today it is  sufficiently depleted to go down depleted and to disintegrate.

But with Allah’s grace  this nation is surviving their savagery and has not fell prey to their evil designs. The naming and shaming of certain religious parties as well their cohorts is on the air now. On not finding the required successes and  fearing that they eventually will be exposed. Eventually this evil has struck the old tried and tested cord of making  Ahmadies a scapegoat so that they may also reap some favour able winds. basing on the anti Ahmadiyya psyche prevalent in society, they targeted Ahmadiyya mosques in the heart of Lahore to make a big news.

When this exercise of massacre was being carried out in Lahore the  sponsors of these extremist groups were extensively carrying out an anti Ahmadiyya campaign to misguide the peoples from the numerous TV channels in UK; especially Ummah Channel; sky 828. On the day of attack at Lahore, anti Ahmadiyya campaign from these channels was running at its peak.

Use of Ahmadiyya as scapegoat may be tried and tested formulae for some and easy way to divert the attention of masses and achieve some progress in their evil design, where masses are easily be fooled, alluded and can be misguided too but God has always been reaching up to these evil minders; He invariably makes them perish, every time they tried this.

Z A Bhutto, the ambitious was sent down the gallows and is now history. Same is the case of His Excellency, the Ameerul momineen General ziaul haq the dreamer; who met his tragic fate.

And now is the turn of; these Religious Extremists. They are well come to try this, once again.

But history warns them that who so ever has challenged Ahmadiyya Movement and tried to use them as the scapegoat—-they were soon caught up with the wrath of God Almighty and were seen simply vanishing in thin airs.

  1. Hi Khokar,
It is not only Ahmediyas but also Shias in Pakistan who are made to a price for the folly of the rulers. It is actually an old British game. They played it by pitting Hindus vs Muslims in erstwhile subcontienet. The Indian rulers use caste, religion, language and other divisive things left over by British Imperialist legasy to get elected.
In your Nation’s case the minorities are used where Sunnies are considered as Majority. for this your nation can blame the black goggled princes of Saudi arabia who owe allegiance to US power and so they have to support killing of Sadam or even now invasion of Iran and killings of shias, and others throughout world through their petro dollars equipped wahabies.

  2. Legalizing atrocity against any sect is not only a sad deal but its outcomes can be more horrific than our wildest imaginations. We witnessed that in the Lahore massacre last week. Religion is not a state’s responsibility. A state should not assume the role of a Mullah who beats his kids to recite Quran and pray five times a day.

  3. Religious Extremists: They are well come
As stataed above on May 28, 2010 at Lahore, 94 Ahmadies were put to death when they were offering Friday prayers in their Mosques. This was the third time; when Ahmadiyya Movement was used as scapegoat; this time by the religious extremists. Earlier Z A Bhutto, in order to become the Asian Maha leader and to have his nation and the opposition lined up behind him declared this movement as non-Muslims. General Zia ul haq sent Z A Bhutto down the gallows and became the Ameerul Momineen himself. He further issued the ordinances to seize their human rights as a free citizen and common Muslim in the street was allowed to kill Ahmadies; if he or she could find them posing as Muslims.

The religious Extremist who attacked Lahore Mosque of Ahmadies; we all know that how these religious Extremist while living among the masses have been breeding under the watch full eyes of doctrinarians of certain Madrasahs and are now turned to monsters. While playing in the hands of enemy of Pakistan and to fulfil their rapacious greed to come to the power; they have adopted the tools of subversion by creating fear and terror in society. They have spread enough of anarchy and killing in the country. This can be said that Pakistan is sufficiently depleted to go down and disintegrate.
But against all the odds, with Allah’s grace this nation is surviving their savagery and has not fell prey to their evil designs. The naming and shaming of certain religious parties as well their cohorts is on the air now; they fear that eventually one by one they may be exposed.

With no success in sight; the Religious Extremist struck the old tried and tested cord of making Ahmadies a scapegoat so that they may also reap some favour able winds basing on the anti Ahmadiyya psyche prevalent in society, they targeted Ahmadiyya mosques in the heart of Lahore to make big news.

  4. Yes; Johann

This is the dilemma of the Muslim world that ‘House of Islam’ is fallen in the hands of the ‘Black Goggled Princes’ of Arabs world. All the lands full of Economic Mineral resources that God Almighty has bestowed them to facilitate Muslims; to lead the World and run its Economies, are since leased out for worldly gain to the manipulators of the west. This is a stark misappropriation of assets.

Muslim masses are left to wonder around aimlessly. The masses are totally eluded finding no one to lead them.
Certainly Muslim world is in dire need of a Messiah.

  5. The Messiah is coming in the form of Kalki the 10th Avatar of Maha Vishnu

all world will be destroyed and earth will go back to stone age

life begins on earth again as per Darvin theory

  6. Industry has no religion, sect or caste, and terrorism is well flourished industry in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq. It was unfortunate that this time Ahmadiyas were made target to destablize Pakistan. But, Qadiyanis should know that before this unfortunate incident a lot of innocent blood have been spread on the streets that were not Qadiyanis.

Qadiyanis are as much Pakistani citizens as any other Pakistani. At this hour of grief we should not lose our heads and, instead, be together to fight terrorism.

  7. Dear Israel… thank you

Thank God for Israel. We should be sending them bouquets right now. Great big arrangements of tube-roses and gladiolas, with a little card pinned to a leaf. Inside should be a cute drawing of a teddy bear with hearts popping around him and a hand-written message saying “Dear Israel, stay villainous! You make us look good! Love, Pakistan.”

  8. Pak investigators suspect police officials’ role in Lahore mosque attack

Lahore, Jun.5 (ANI): Pakistani investigators probing last Friday’s ghastly terror attacks on two Ahmedi mosques in Lahore’s Garhi Shahu and Model Town areas have got some crucial leads in the case which point fingers towards the involvement of some police officials deployed at both places of worship.

According to sources, during interrogation, Muaaz, the militant who was nabbed alive during the terror siege, has revealed several important facts which has now led the investigators to believe that certain security officials were acting as facilitators to the terrorists.

  9. “But, Qadiyanis should know that before this unfortunate incident a lot of innocent blood have been spread on the streets that were not Qadiyanis.”

All the blood is being spill by Deobandi Sunnis, what is your point?

  10. “All the blood is being spill by Deobandi Sunnis”, what is your point Umair? Deobandi, Barelvi, Qadiyani, Shia, these our own domain like Brahmin, Shoodar et al are your problem, understand stupid.

You take care of your own problems, Bombay was seiged by a fistful terrorists for 4/5 days and your intelligence, police force, firing squad were a total failure. Think about this and even if you have to shed some tears, shed on this issue. Not to say much about Kargil.

  11. Yes all the Religious extremist they will certainly like that after attacking Ahmadiyya Mosques in a society where a peculiar anti Ahmadiyya psyche is prevalent; to add to this general perception and target Ahmadies gathering was sought which may leave an impression that rightly so— a bunch of heretic was attacked; so let that be it.

But we need to analyse that, who is to gain anything out of it and for what?

If we only trace back extremist history we may come to know that; first; they started attacking the military and military installation to undermine their authority but were not successful.
Then they started attacking Police and also met no success there. Lately to spread fear and terror among the masses they started attacking civilian in cities, bazaars and in hospitals and other public places but one could say that they were met with colossal failure and met utter humiliation for their despicable conduct.

But before they saw they go may down—- vey cunningly they chalked a damage control plan. In order to save the situ and have wind of favour to their credit and also gain some sympathy in public—- they attacked two Ahmadiyya Mosques.

Where this was a most tragic incident; but look at the game being played here. It is a repeat of same old formulae; where Ahmadies have been made target time and again.

You know; so far they haven’t touched any government cabinet members; which may be their next target.
